The Sunday Picture Show... (10-7-2012)

Alot of nice knives this week as usual. Here is another nice one. The 2009 special projects list shows that 1,000 of these 110's were made for Smoky Mountain Knife Works. Bone handles dyed a nice dark mahogany color with a nickel silver Buck logo inlayed. These were a bargain at $54.95 from SMKW. The SMKW knives that I 've seen had plain nickel silver bolsters. I have never seen one like this with the engraved oak leaves and acorns on the bolsters. If anyone knows anymore about the engraving I would like to know. Did the knife come from Buck this way or was the engraving done aftermarket. This knife came to me without box at a gun show so I don't know it's origin.

Here are a couple knives that were waiting on me when I got done with my backpacking trip. The Sambar stag has a mirror finish blade. The Ram's horn 110 came from a fellow member here on Blade Forums.

Matt posted a fishing thread this week...so my wildlife photo for the week is a picture of a 120+ lb tarpon I caught. That's me in the back, my brother in law in the front.....and the tarpon in the water. ;)

Happy Dave, Its my 39th Birthday today as well

Well, Happy Birthday to you too Matt. I wish I could remember when I was 39!

The off topic part is this. I know it isn't a Buck, but it will probably cutail my Buck buying for a few days so I guess it's Buck related in a way. ;)

I went out today and bought myself a birthday gift. I get to pick it up tomorrow. :)

Yeah, I went to the Harley shop last Friday, but they had nothing I was interested in. Anyway, I already have four of them and had only three cars. ;)

My brother gave this Buck 154 Sawbuck to me a number of years ago, cannot remember when I received it, but it's been safely put away in my footlocker ever since.
