The Sunday Picture Show... (11-08-2015)

My 505 tribe for Armand's Picture Show. Haebbie

Herbert and I both have a love for the little ones. I really like the top right. There were 11 different model numbers based on the little 1 7/8" blade. Here are two sterling silver 525's you won't see too often. They were sold at the 1996 Colt Collectors Association Meeting. 75 of the Colt Serpent logo and 175 of the Rampant Colt were made.

Picked up a couple new (to me) Bucks at the show this weekend.

First is a nice little 305. I believe this is a Camillus knife, though I'm not sure the vintage. It's in terrific shape, just needs a good cleaning.

Next is a 118. I don't know much about these so have some digging to do. It's in terrific shape, and the price was right so I picked it up too.

Wildlife... These two bruisers showed up mid morning last Saturday just out of bow range.

And the little 8 I passed on 3 or 4 weeks ago.

Wow, a few nice bucks, knives too. Camillus made the 305 for Buck from the early 70's until 1985 when Buck took over that model in house. The very earliest were marked "Made in USA" but other than that, lacking identifying paperwork, I don't think the time can be narrowed any.

Happy SPS to all, Thank you Armand for these shows each week!

I only have two of these tiny fingernail cleaners;). Still need to pick up one of the BCCI LE's like Mississippi Mike's:thumbup:

Enjoying the show today!
Lots of time left for more Buck knives. :)

This will be my last post for today's SPS. (do I hear cheering?)

Here are my three Buck 110s with 5160 blades.
The front one just came this week. Bought it because I didn't like the look of the oak on the rear 110.

This exterior Himalayan ram's horn has a future home on the rear 110 to replace the oak covers I don't like.
It will be some time this winter before I get a chance to do that.
I seem to be adding lots of projects lately.

Some 501s for the small folder theme stag, 100 any and an early one with the rocker rivet.
Stumps you either stay up too late or get up too early :)

I felt like this one needed a rest. HL
Great looking knives everyone keep the pictures coming PLEASE HL

I love how the show kind of takes on a theme. Understood that one does not need to follow and any pic is welcomed.
With that said, would like to request pics of 112 micartas, 110 buck*, first and second year Kalinga and Akounas for future shows. History behind them and their manufacture is always intriguing.

Thanks for the tip on the 305. I picked up a Buck factory 305 with a clipper in virtually new condition at the same show earlier in the year.

As for the other bucks... this is a new lease for me. I wasn't sure what we would find, but so far the bucks are outnumbering the doe 2:1 in this particular area. It makes for an interesting rut when you have that ratio.

Next weekend starts our gun season so I'm hoping to put the new 118 to work!

Dale…those are excellent Buck knives!
You've been holding out on us. :)

Do you know any history about these?
Is the brown from the set Buck did a few years ago?
It must be nice as a collector to live in the land of old Buck knives.

I especially like the white Micarta and the red.
I just bought some white (ivory) Micarta yesterday morning and plan on giving it a home on a 110 drop point S30V.

Anyway….good to see you post here again.:thumbup:

Wow, just wow. Thanks.

I'm glade you enjoyed those knives , they are some of my favorites in my collection .

Mark as for the history of these 112's well the black one was a Bay find
the red one was from George Stinzel and the brown & white ones are from our Godfather LR .

And I forgot about the two here with green canvas micarta from the BCCI .

DS, that is the prettiest 110 I have ever seen with shell and Damascus! Looks more like a 500 show so I'll put up my ho hum every day workers...

Nice 110s guys and I dig the FG 110 Stumps posted!
