The Sunday Picture Show... (11-12-2017) . . . OLD Show Look at the DATE...

Thank you to all the veterans here, past, present, for your service (a day late). Thank you to Armand for setting up the SPS and all of you folks who take the time to post photo's for our viewing pleasure! Sorry no photo's this week, in the middle of my work week (night shifts) 12 hour shifts kicking my butt, must be getting old:rolleyes:.

What a great show. Thanks to everyone for helping to make this a great SPS for all.
Mike (steelheadbully) I really like those stag steak knives. I think I am going to have to start looking for some for the wife for Xmas.
Here is a 501 with mokume bolster, mastodon ivory scales and mosaic pins.
This is the second one I received. The first one I got had no color at all to the mokume. I sent it back to Buck and they sent me this one back. Thanks Buck.

Great show everyone!

I spent yesterday morning and this morning in my tree stand. Seen absolutely nothing yesterday, but this morning had several come by, but no shots. The season is early though...

I'm a big-bore addict. I've harvested more deer with this .45-70 than anything else in my safe. I took the .454 along as well since I've not taken one with it yet. Perhaps in the next couple of weeks I'll put the Titan to work and have some meat in the freezer!

One of my new ChinaBucks from SMKW with a horrible name... Mr Crappie model 320. The model number is a departure for Buck which always used the 37x and 38x series for the China slipjoints. It is on the larger size coming in at 4.25", the size of a 307 Wrangler, and has pretty good heft. The handles are black smooth bone, very densely dyed and almost like buffalo horn in texture. Usually the China smooth bones are kinda mottly in color but this one is pure jet black. The channel inlay is Abalone surrounded on each side by a strip of MOP. The shield is Nickel Silver... a Crappie of course. They are serialized and the blades are mirror polished 420J2. The secondary blade has an odd shape, I don't know what to make of that. Comes in a form fitted side hinged box. I really like this knife and it's a deal at $25. Now for the thing I don't like... the cheesy blade etch... something SMKW seems to like to do so there is no getting away from it. Additionally, the blade etch is not very dark which also detracts.

Some more ChinaBucks, "Emerald" smooth bone. L to R 384 Lg Trapper, 373 Trio, 385 Toothpick, and 389 Canoe. Not a single complaint, all are tight with strong springs. I like the color. Available individually but you can buy the set of 4 together for $10 less and they will be serialized. Again the cheesy blade etch.

Hi James,

What can you tell me about the gold etch Duke. I have never seen a gold River Boat 500 before. Truly awesome. Thanks for sharing it.
