The Sunday Picture Show... (11-20-2011)

A lot better, Stumps.

Nice idea in using the sheath to set the angle of the knife to control the reflections.

:)

A red background will sometimes cause a pinkish colored tint that you don't want, but in this case it didn't happen.

Nice pics.

I keep saying this but, I gotta get me some of them Barlows! Anyhoo here are a few today.

To all,
I am really impressed with the photos, I think they are all better than mine. To those intimidated by the increasing quality of photos, please keep sending yours in, we will all work together constructively to improve yours if you so desire. No matter we still want to see your knives.
DM, I a worried about you, are you sure you aren't a survivor of the NM saucer crash. What a good eye to detect the knife in the picture and the avatar....hats off. Have really enjoyed the SPS keep them coming......already I have to think about next week, woe is me.

A lot better, Stumps.

Thanks! :)

I posted a couple beautiful knives earlier today and they just didn't look as good as they do in real life, so I went back and tried a few pictures of a Squire with the only thing I could find for a different background (the table place mat) and that did help.

It's been another great SPS everyone but I have to mention what a great job sitflyer did this week on the re-handled trio he posted today. Good job....gotta make ya feel good when you look at those babies and know that you did that!!

Hi folks -

Here is a 110 that my friend John Kiedaisch re-handled in tulipwood. It was the first one he tried, and he calls it a "second" but I thought it came out great!

Great SPS this week guys!

WOW, I have been away awhile! It must be fall! :D
Deer hunt this past weekend was a bust, but I was lucky enough to get on a guided sea duck hunt the day before we left for deer camp. Heres a few drake Old Squaw sea ducks along with my trusty Benelli M2 and Buck Personal 118 in D2.
I wish I had gotten pics of the layout boats and the rough water, it was a blast, but the camera wasn't coming out in that weather!! :D If anyone is a waterfowler and wants to hunt for sea ducks, I would say go for it. It was better than I expected!

Desoto, A 2 line in very good shape! Story teller, Your 112 has to be a 2 dot as it has no nail nick w/ large pins. You doing a room addition? JB, I really like the prints on your Duke. I think you've posted the others in that series too. Mqqn, I like the wood on your 110. 300, Of course I'm an Alien that landed in Roswell w/ the rest of the flashlights back in the mid 50's. I'm trying to remain incognito here. Back in Zarton we have Buck brand light sabers. DM

Darn, Post--I'd never seen those Squaw ducks before. Thanks. How did the 118 dress them? DM

PF, Very nice, thanks for posting your birds. I have never hunted on the ocean, but have had an attraction to the oldsquaw for many years. They have the ability to dive to great depths, below 150 ft.
A proper birdwatcher or duck biologist would call it by the name Long-tailed Duck. But I will stick with Oldsquaw.

Believe it or not, I saw one drake back in the late 70's out in W. OK during a bad NW winter.......300

My 11 year old finally got the opportunity to use his custom 110. Koa looks nice with a tint of red. Mine stayed clean this week. Beware! User pic!
