The Sunday Picture Show... (11-20-2016) . . . ( OLD SPS LOOK at the DATE)

I'm in my stand now. A couple of doe just as I walked in and a spike buck just a few minutes ago. No photos.. I'm layered to well to get to a knife.

Another great show, btw.

It's funny how quiet it gets on the forum when it's deer season. Good luck everyone whose out!

Stumps,

That cairn looks like a big frog sitting and watching .

My two favorites this time of year.
They won't go far when you hit 'em with a .45-70 moving over 2k fps.

Here's a Mini Taclite I dug out of another box.

Haebbie,

I just found this red head, yea, found it. I must be lucky, lucky and lucky. Just like you finding your Snow White Frontiersman!

Just past those evergreen fir trees and down a very steep bank flows the mighty Tualatin River. Wildlife shows up below my third story apt and when I get a telephoto camera, and not just this cell phone, I can show it to you.

Excellent of you aficionados to post photos of your hard won prize possessions. Heart warming on this chilly November day with gray skies as far as you can see in all directions. Saw a very brightly colored double rainbow yesterday that dazzled my eyes and thrilled my sense of beauty.

yesss - great!! my congratulations to your find. The redhead is my favorite 124.
I would give my White 124 for it. Had a short walk with the Dogs this afternoon.
I came back home soon it was too unpleasant outside. Even the dogs have been
lucky to stay at home again.

The white as new driven snow 124 has been a goal of mine since I first heard of its existence from a little tiny bird.

I had a friend visit while snapping a few pics with the apple Iphone. A pint sized beast from the forest.

America, streets are paved with riches ripe for the picking. Red heads, they say, tend toward the hot side. I lean toward the their side.

Thank you for looking. Thank you for sharing.

The sheath is as new, no box, and the axe is un-used IMHO. Stumbled upon it. Vendor insisted the handle was wood and refused to even say the word "Micarta."

How funny, I also saw a frog in the picture.......didn't know the word.

cairn /kern/ noun
1. a mound of rough stones built as a memorial or landmark, typically on a hilltop or skyline.

Thank You again ITE for starting the Greatest Show. Some really nice knives today. From me will be an older picture of the two 120's I have with the sheaths they came with. I picked them up off the bay a few years ago. The bottom one had a broken tip so I reshapped it.

With buck season opening here next Monday:

A little 525 with the prey

The knife I will hopefully have use for

And the boots I tramp around looking for them in

Hello all, This beautiful custom 112 belongs to Bucksway... He wanted to share one of his Buck 112's...
It's the last CS 112 made when Buck opened the limited window to order a 112 a few years ago from
the custom shop... Clint said that Joe H delivered it to him at the Atlanta Blade Show... Clint said that he
also got the very first 112 that they made for that short run... How cool is that...

Custom 112...

Thanks ITE! I finally got one of my 112's in the SPS.. It's probably the best phone pic I ever took of my knives. Back in 2008 I was really excited with collecting Buck 112's and the excitement on the forum about the brief window for getting CS 112's. When the day came we could place a order I was tickled I was the first caller and so I had that engraved on the blade. At that time 110's could be had with a blade coating (black ?) so I ordered another with with that. It turned out you could not get a 112 coated blade and after a long time and lots of calls Joe stepped in and that knife is the result. I asked him to use something cool for the blade and bring it to the Blade show. I was so excited and happy seeing it the first time !!! It's those kinds of memories that make collecting Bucks and being part of the BCCI and Buck family so special to me.
