I just have to repost and say the collection of 119s you guys have are awesome. Some real beauties. James I forgot to ask what is the handle material on the "unusual" 119 you posted. Doug don't know what "cheap" is but I paid a lot for my custom stag memo. Great find !!!!!!!

gsea,

We will have to wait to see what James has to say. However, it looks like it's a plastic dip to me. I saw how they did that on one of the hunting shows, they have a large heated tank and they have these plastic sheets (they can put any design on it they want) that they set into the tank, the plastic sheet melts (turns to liquid) and floats at the top of the tank, then they simply did an item into the tank (like a rifle stock) and the plastic adhered to the item dipped into the tank. it was way cool!

This thread may just end up costing me some money.I was thinking of my next buck as maybe a Vanguard as I love the Vanguards but have been without one for a long time. But the classic lines on thee 119 are making me want another or a 120. Imho one of the best shows so far.

Well guys, the 119 with the camo handle was purchased from a gentleman who won the knife in a hunting magazine contest. I personally do not know anything about what material or process was used.

JB's information sounds pretty accurate to me. It does look like a thin plastic coating that was applied over the complete handle. My guess is that it is not very durable. It just looks kind of cool to me.

trevorklat that's a 619. Discontinued model but can be found second-hand.

I was lucky enough to purchase this BCCI 119 last week from our own gedlicks.

I bought it to match the custom (Elk/Nickel) 110 I ordered a few weeks ago - which should be here before Christmas.

After seeing all these wonderful 119's (120 also)it makes me wonder why the 119 doesn't have its own sticky thread. I mean there are a lot f not only beautiful ones out there but a lot of variation.

Been a slow day at the Parrott's house so I thought I would see if I still recalled how ITE told me to load pictures. So here are two 119s. One has a picture of my two babies from years ago, a 1958 model and a 1984 model. The 1984 model was cheaper at the time:)

Great pictures everyone and always enjoy looking at them and appreciates everyones effort and time in doing them. Thanks to Armand for doing this each Sunday before he heads to church:) We need to talk!!
