The Sunday Picture Show... (11-23-2014)

Great show so far everyone... Keep the pictures coming...
Lot's of great knives and pictures today...:thumbup::thumbup:

ITE...

DC, It's looks bad to me.... I hope it heals fast... Take care... ITE ... :)

I only hope to measure up to you fellas.

650 (David) vs 651 (Goliath, 187 of 250):

Thanks ITE for another great show. Chris all I can think to say is ouch! Today I snapped the ones from a drawer, kind of out of sight out of mind.

I made the mistake of betting my wife on how many Buck knives I had in my new wall display. I think it may hamper any expansion for the intermediate future. I am just glad she didn't open any door, drawers or boxes.

Hello everyone,

My sister Chris and my brother-in-law Wayne went hunting this morning and
got this beautiful spike elk ... There right out of Eugene, Oregon... Boy I
wish I was there... I can taste that backstrap now...

He only had a tag for a spike... :D ... He forgot his Buck knife... ... But my sister had her 503...

:)

Dave, cool picture... Nice knives... Thanks for sharing on the SPS...:thumbup::thumbup:

Small is beautiful 267 (Hitchhiker, scissors only) and 268 (also Hitchhiker, blade and file) produced in 2001 only and made in Japan:

The above two knives were a part of a three-piece set. I'm missing the stubby blade, much like the modern day Metro blade, so if anyone can help me out I'm all ears (I know where 2 NIB, like mine, are):

Escaping the house for a while today!! Woohoo!!

So here are my (EDC) Escape Day Carry selections....lol
Cane, 415, 830, 301 and a holidat tin toothpick :)

Great pictures everyone and thanks again Armand for keeping this great show going. DesertChris - Wishing you a complete and speedy recovery.

Here I have a Buck 905 Mountain Man Bowie with some kind of wood handles. It came as pictured with no COA so I am not sure what wood the handle is made out of. Below is a list of what Buck had listed as wood options for the time period. Any ideas anyone which wood it looks like.

Bacote
Cocobolo
Gaboon Ebony
Lignum Vitae
Brazilian Rosewood
Ironwood
Mesquite
Wenge

Or is it maybe something else.

When I look up sample pictures on the web I cannot seem to match it up and I am by no means a wood expert.

With Thanksgiving coming up I am spending most of my day doing some house cleaning both inside and a bit outside in between rain showers.

I don't have any Buck filet knives to show to go along with Armands sawby lock filet but I do have a 531 sawby lock. This is the only Buck knife I have with the sawby lock but hopefully can pick the others up in the future.

Have a great Thanksgiving all.

It is one lousy weather day here and not good for picture taking. Like to post an older picture of my 2 dot 110 that has some very deep but well done finger grooves and my custom with N/S and water buffalo.

That Mt Man Bowie looks like has a walnut handle Gedlicks...jmo. I have a SAK with very very similar handle, which is Swiss Walnut.
