The Sunday Picture Show... (11-27-2016) ...( OLD SHOW LOOK at DATE... )

Brownwm,

I hope your Thorn won't be quite as "lonely" as mine shows up from time-to-time. Maybe this beautiful blade will get more noticed, too.[emoji106]
And agreed. I also cannot compete with the knives posted on the SPS each week....I only have 5 Bucks!!

Like I wrote just before your post, I've only had mine for one day. So my Thorn tale begins...
Enjoy! [emoji4]

A welcome visit from the postman yesterday, bringing my newest Buck home.

I simply cannot compete with the calibre of knives here week after week as I have no show knives. The knives being posted here today are unbelivably beautiful!
Every knife in my collection is a worker but I love them all the same!
Here is today's carry which doesn't get enough attention, the lonely Thorn.

And just because, here is my favorite worker of all....again...

bozhidar47, your pictures are not working... We would love to see your pictures
of you Thorn Buck knife... All Buck knives are welcome here... The Good The Bad
and The Ugly... We like all Bucks... At one time we all had just a few Buck knives...

Thanks Brownwm, for sharing your Thorn and your 112... They look GREAT to me...
You and bozhida47 don't have to compete here on the SPS... That's not what the
SPS is about... We just all like Buck Knives... It don't have to be a $500 knife or $1
knife... I have a lot $1 knives or inexpensive knives but there beautiful to me... :)
When I had just a few Bucks I would just take new pictures of the same knives just
to hang out with all these Buck nuts... I still take new pictures of some of the same
knives... We all like pictures... There is always new guys that come and go that have
never seen my knives... We are all here to share are collections with each other and
complement each other... There are so many sweet Buck knives that you guys all
share on the SPS that I would love to have and never will have... But I sure enjoy
looking at them and I didn't even know that Buck made so many different knives...

Keep them coming... :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Hi again, ITE. Interesting that my pictures aren't working; they appear just fine on my computer screen. Ah well, it is not the first time (nor the last, I'm sure) that cyberspace will throw me into a black hole! That means then some other photos I've posted are nowhere to be found, as well.

I have a really difficult time using PhotoBucket. Tried a different way to post today, and like I said, works okay from my view. So I just uploaded the photos of my Thorn on PB, and will try to duplicate my earlier post once again. Let me know, if okay. Guess that means I'm stuck with PB....

BTW, I wasn't competing with Brownwm...just was pleased to see the very same knife posted. And since Brownwm said his was "lonely," well, that was just a chat. But since I have only 5 Bucks, good to know that I can post different photos of the same knives. I really like to participate :D, and have very much enjoyed the SPS. There are some incredible knife collections there, and as a newbie, I'm astounded by the very many sharp-looking knives posted.....and especially the huge variety there are in the "knife world!"

OK, here is my repeat attempt. Again, thanks for letting me know, ITE. Have a great day!

Thank you ITE, since finding this forum my collection is growing faster than my savings account. I will have plenty of Bucks to show for many Sundays to come [emoji4] . I'm glad to be among like minded enthusiasts.
All the best to you all!

Boz, wow great pictures... Where have you been... Boy my pictures were bad
my first time sharing... I didn't mean that you were competing with Brownwm...
I was just trying to say all Buck knives are good... We don't care if they are
just some common knives or high dollar knives... Some time we have 4 or 5
that are the same or close... It all good... again great pic's...:thumbup::thumbup:

:)

Thanks...I'm glad the pics made it passed that "black hole" this time, ITE. Just a quick bit of trivia. Either the problem is PB, or maybe the fact that I'm running a 6-year old computer. But it took me over 40 minutes to load those seven pictures this time....didn't know if it would all hold together long enough before the Forum logged me off! And this set of pictures appeared much larger and clearer than the first set today.

Good to see the Thorn looking good! ;) It really is a very cool-looking blade. Also like the photo of the Thorn sans handle. I really like skeletonized blades, and that one looks great. How would a paracord work as a handle on that Thorn?

Thanks again. Yes, I also like the derringer. A few years ago I sold my first BA, which was a Snake Slayer with a 3.5" barrel. This model is larger, a Snake Slayer IV with a 4.25" barrel. I liked the first derringer very much, and finally was able to replace it.

Take care, and have a great week ahead.

Awesome knives everyone!
Here are some repeats of mine. Except for the Vantage, that's new and almost took a nice chunk of my index finger off while playing with it in my left hand.

Thorn postscript.

Although I don't own this knife, I hope the photo post is legal for the SPS!

When I was looking for a Thorn to buy, I came across a limited edition on the Buck web site. Here is the Buck description and photo of this knife.
Looks like it would be cool to own. If only I knew a "wealthy santa!"

Thorn 017

This unique custom model 017 Thorn is one of a limited edition production of only 250 knives. Created by Buck’s own Mark McLean, this handcrafted knife features a stainless herringbone damascus blade and a blue twill carbon fiber and stainless steel handle. This rare piece combines unique materials with design ingenuity, creating a cherished heirloom that can be passed on through generations.

Another Thorn, so busy making sheaths I almost forgot to post. good show everyone.

Great show today everyone!

Been too busy this week to get any new photos done, but I certainly appreciate seeing all of your new and old knives each week!
