The Sunday Picture Show... (11-3-2013)

I couldn't help but feel a little happy with the results of sending this old friend in for a rework. I just received it back on the 31st. I am making it an EDC for a while. I will miss the dots on the blade but what the heck it is better than new now. Thanks the BKI for a better than great job!

GoJoJo, Buck did a great job on your 110... It's to bad about that 3 dot blade... But it's all good... :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:

Thanks for sharing on the SPS... ITE

Late to the show cause I've been out beating the bushes. Here are a few of the latest finds....

Yesterday at a knife show, a 1988 Stag 501 NIB and a 2005 Cabela's 110/192 Tracks set with Elk handles. Also picked up a 119 and a 103 at the same show.....

Wow Desoto,

Those are all fantastic scores! Did the 124 come with a sheath? Do tell the story of that ones find.

Well, since you asked. It was a 100 mile drive to the knife show and afterwards we did a little drive about and came across an Antique Mall. In one of the display cases was the end of the Custom 120 sheath sticking out. Couldn't see all of it but thought the price was a "little high" for whatever phenolic handled 120 might be in it. Made note of the case # and continued on my way. Finishing before my wife I rounded back and had the case opened up for a better look. Noting that the knife didn't have a correctly fitting sheath I asked the mall clerk to call the booth owner with an offer of $50 less.....

Really not much of a story but as my brother says, sometimes even a blind pig finds an acorn once in awhile.... :D

DeSotoSky, that's why you didn't call me back today... You went and bought me a 426... I love that 501 and that hard to find 124, just beautiful all of them...
Looks like you had a Great day... I love those kind of days... ITE ... :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:

My Daughter's 500... Some old pictures but she really likes this one and so do I ... :thumbup:

:)

We still got lots of time to post pics... Before The Walking Dead starts... :thumbup: :eek: :thumbup:

The belt clip is anodized. The parts don't come out very uniform because they are cast rather than machined. The parts have skin on them that does not lend itself to a flawless finish. I mostly wanted the coating to prevent scratching.

Great Show everyone... Thanks for sharing part of your collection with all of us here on the Buck forum...

Thanks again, ITE... :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
