Thanks again for keeping the SPS going each week ITE....and give Daisy a pat for me!!

I have a few knives that I acquired this week that I'm gonna post today.

I'll get started for now with two 120's that I picked at a pawn shop while I was driving home the other day after helping my brother hang drywall in a room he built. I like both these knives....they look to be identical, but I like the $39.00 each price tag even better!! :)

They were dirty when I bought them, but they cleaned up nicely.

This is a Bantum and a CSAR-T folder I got friday. I really like both knives. Even despite the extreme differences between the two. I was really surprised by the bantum. Is really is a nice light weight knife.

There's probally 3 or 4 times the thickness of the Bantum blade in the CSAR-T's blade.

Look how much thicker the blade is than my Bravo. The Bravo was said to have a thick blade. Wonder what gave em that idea. Lol

Check out how much thicker the liner lock is compaired to the Bravo

Here except for the rocky mountain tread they look the same.

I want to take a picture compareing the CSAR to my vanguard. I could get that to work. I couldn't hold the vanguard and camra at the same time. Lol. The CSAR is thicker than the vanguard too.
I'm proud of these 2 knives. Only bad thing about getting 2 nice knives at 1 time is having to decide which one to EDC. LOL. What hard decissions life puts on me. What do I do?

Stumps, very nice. The 120 is my all time favorite Buck. Like the 119 its to big for me to actually work with. I found them to be very good kitchen and champing knifes. They have enough blade to get thru the biggest onions, taters, bellpeppers, and grapefruits. And they are very easy to clean and keep that way.

Here is my latest, a really nice 1119 2 liner with a flawless sheath. On its way to leroy with some 110s to get revitalized.

Here's my carbide edge 2004 Buck 110 that I acquired at the parker show:

And the rest including a nice mid 80's 107.

Great SPS, I enjoy it every week. I found this 1 stashed away, and it's a nice 1. It's a Wilde Bill Cody 532 from a few years ago. Filework, Stag , pocket clip & a 154CM blade.

Outstanding knives and pictures again this week. Thanks to one and all for sharing.

Here's a "New for 1997" Buckcote 110, N/S bolsters and the gray TiAIN blade. The blade however has the 1996 date stamp.

A 2003 "The Buck Stops Here" 110 from El Cajon.

These are two of the knives I picked up at a gun show yesterday. They are not in great shape, but will make good users.

This is an inverted 2 line 102;

This is a first version 501....at least I think it is because it has the rivet pin showing;

Daisy is a beauty! Her head probably weighs as much as both of my little guys put together! Chloe (the blonde and Harley.

Here's a cute little pair. A 475 Mini-Mentor in black and a 477 Caping Knife in camo. Definately meant for small hands, the Mini-Mentor is lost in my big paws. The Caping Knife has a blade shape that lets you hold it in a choked up position and feels like you would have a lot of control. I like the feel of how the Caping knife holds but the gut hook gives the knife a very unappealing proportion. One of these would make a great youth knife.

Okay...my last post to the SPS this week. I picked this knife up at the gun show yesterday. The knife and sheath are mint, but the box shows storage wear. I think this is what is called a Sawby Buck. I don't know much about these. I felt it was a good buy for what I paid.

I also picked up a NIB 1990 jigged bone/damascus 110 and a mint 317 Trail Blazer with sheath today. I got to talk to BCCI Life Member Bill Gardiner and his wife who had a table set up displaying their Buck knives. (None of these knives came from Bill)

Custom 501: Oak, no pins, S30V blade steel. 6.5" overall open (not 5.4" shown on Buck's site) & 2.8 ounces (80.2 grams). The finish on the oak scales reminds me of the surface of my old wooden oak school furniture dark and deep.

BTW: Congratulation ITE for your outstanding and tenacious job with Sunday Picture Show. Wow! You make it look easy. What to leave in... what to leave out, oh my! WTG. You are a good fella.

Here are three 424s, vintage with 501 blade and two newbies without the nail nick for comparison to the custom 501:
