The Sunday Picture Show... (12-4-2011)

Hello everyone, it's time again for the Sunday Picture Show... This Show is for everyone... So feel free to talk about and compliment each other about there new or old Buck knives... We all like to show are new or older knives that we just got or had for years... So everyone please share and post a picture of one of your Buck knives or a picture with lots of Buck knives... Fixed blades or folders... Post all the pictures you want, but save some for next Sundays Picture Show... Post a new picture or a old picture... If you only have one Buck knife or alot of Buck knives... Just take some new Picture of it or of them and just get creative and make Buck Proud.... Thanks, ItsTooEarly ...

Here's my pictures for the SPS... This Sunday I have a Black 560... I wish buck would make them again... What a knife! ! !

Thanks for looking and enjoy the show... ITE

:) :) :)

Yes, ITE, the black 560 looks great. But for the rest I'm not with you.
To make a black powder surface on a titanium handle and to powder
the blade too is one of the craziest decisions buck ever made. The
black 560 is a knife for the glass case. It goes ugly soon when it is used .

Here are two peers for the glass case too.

Have a nice sunday, guys!
Haebbie

Good Sunday morning everyone. :)

Thanks for starting another SPS ItsTooEarly!!

I posted this first picture yesterday in a thread about the seven knives I picked up at a local gun and knife show for $50.00.

Well, that bottom 110 is a 1967 3rd/3rd and this is what it looks like now after I spent about an hour with it in the garage last night. (it is also VERY sharp now)

I've been looking for buck display in my area and haven't much luck. This one will have to do for now a OVB hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett a recent sale find! Here are some pictures in progress not finished yet!
And I agree with ITE, Bring back the 560! Please!
Have a great sunday everyone!

I hear you Haebbie, the black 560 looks good, but after you use it... It sucks... I have one for the show case and one for my EDC box...
Nice picture and sweet knives... ITE

Yesterday was an unusual one at the gun & knife show.... I think someone declared it to be $20 day. the haul was a 2.110, 532 BuckLock with sheath, 501 with sheath, 309 brown bone in a old 501 box, 309 smooth red, 305 sawcut red, a gray 305 Lancer Workman in an odd white box, SwissBuck Taskmate II and Trekker, and a 1987 112 FG Ranger . All are in as new, unused condition except the 110 but I picked it up at a Pawn shop for $3 on the way home from the gun show, I guess it's headed for the toolbox. I have never seen smooth red or gray in a slippie so I'm particularly pleased with those. Yeah, I know, one of the knives isn't a Buck.... I've probably been collecting vintage CO2 and Pneumatic pellet guns for 25+ years... I never pass up a Crosman Blade, I don't think anyone else in the world collects them..

Oh yeah....you REALLY out-did me!!! That haul makes my gun and knife show buys that I got yesterday look pretty pathetic. :)

Believe me, it was not the norm... usually I'm hoping to get lucky and find "1". I think the universe was in phase for me yesterday!

Hey, you can't just post a picture like that and leave us hanging..... I'm guessing they are a nicely matched 503 and 505. What's the wood? Are they some of your handiwork?

Oh no. DeSoto, I don't want to leave you hanging ;) These two are the 550
and the 551, the two King Charles as I remember. The wood is paccawood as
usual and the knife frame is from the 500 and the 501.

Best,
Haebbie

ITE...I wish they would bring back the 560 knives as well. BUT...what I really never understood was why no offering in a 112 size knife.....
I have wanted a 112 Titanium folder since I acquired this 560 and have always been baffled by the fact they didn't follow through with a 112....
it would be a Most pocket-able folder.....

Here's my 560....

One day while making a delivery of Hardware supplies to a store, the manager saw me cutting the shrink on the pallet with that 560.....
he said "that knife is too nice to be using on a truck, wait here..." when he came back he handed me a brand new 181 Odessey ATS-34 !
I took it and thought ...What an ugly PO#@*&.....I started using it as a Work knife and quickly came to apreciate it...if I am doing any carpentry
THIS is the first tool I grab....

I guess I fell in love with the Ugly Duckling...:D

Ok, here's a couple. Top one is a 110/560 buildout, the bottom one is a 560/110 (Macassar ebony) buildout. I wish the blades were switched on these, I'd be liking them better that way.
