Good Sunday morning everyone. :)

Thanks for starting another SPS ItsTooEarly!!

I posted this first picture yesterday in a thread about the seven knives I picked up at a local gun and knife show for $50.00.

Your welcome Stumps... Thanks for posting your picture again and that 110 came out sweet...
I'm glad other are finding Buck knives too... ITE ...:thumbup::thumbup:

Yesterday was an unusual one at the gun & knife show.... I think someone declared it to be $20 day. the haul was a 2.110, 532 BuckLock with sheath, 501 with sheath, 309 brown bone in a old 501 box, 309 smooth red, 305 sawcut red, a gray 305 Lancer Workman in an odd white box, SwissBuck Taskmate II and Trekker, and a 1987 112 FG Ranger . All are in as new, unused condition except the 110 but I picked it up at a Pawn shop for $3 on the way home from the gun show, I guess it's headed for the toolbox. I have never seen smooth red or gray in a slippie so I'm particularly pleased with those. Yeah, I know, one of the knives isn't a Buck.... I've probably been collecting vintage CO2 and Pneumatic pellet guns for 25+ years... I never pass up a Crosman Blade, I don't think anyone else in the world collects them..

Oh ok, I thought it was the one that sold on Ebay for $120.00. Did you get the tray that slides in it? Your photos look better with the current date in them.

Pdave, nice pic... You can send them to Leroy... Thanks David M, for the pics of your show case... It looks nice... Sitflyer, a 112 560 1/2 would be sweet... Why didn't I think of that... Your 560 looks nice and your 181 Odesseys look cool... I don't have any 181 Odesseys anymore... I did a trade for mine... Longbow, you always take nice pictures... Nice 560s too... U-F, I wish I could fine 426s in trees like that...

Thanks for sharing everyone... ITE

Desoto...that Cossman looks Exactly like a pair of Camillus folders I have...are those bolsters nickel ?

Yes, I believe the bolsters are nickel silver. There were a number of different models. I've got a bunch of them, even a countertop display case. I think the single blade lock backs were by Camillus. Both Crosman and Camillus are in New York. Crosman was owned by Coleman for awhile during this time period and I think Coleman owned (?) Western Cutlery. I wonder if some of the others in the Crosman Blades series came thru that connection. I never considered myself a knife collector until I started collecting Bucks and only "accumulated" a boxful of the Crosman blades as a side to my pellet gun collecting. I need to sit down and sort them out someday.

Edit...Did a little quick checking. Crosman Blades were made 82-85 under contract by Alcas, Camillus, and Utica. Coleman did own Crosman during this time and did acquire Western in 1984 but it doesn't appear any were made by Western.

Thanx for the info DeSoto... I hadn't seen one of those in nickel yet
I've always been a spring piston airgun enthusiast myself...
It's funny but I always considered myself a knife collector until I started seeing pictures of some folks knife displays...now I see myself as a knife hoarder...LOL...:D

DeSoto, let me get this straight. Did you get all those knives for twenty bucks? Or where they twenty bucks a knife? Either way what a great catch.

One from the weekend in the brush. A buddy for whom I bought a nice web special Zipper found out that the snakes haven't quite gone into hiding yet in South Texas. This was one of two he brought back to camp and skinned.

That was said somewhat tongue in cheek .... they didn't all come from the same seller ..... to be completely honest, it actually took two twenties each for the BuckLock and FG Ranger... the rest you know..... :D

Oh no. DeSoto, I don't want to leave you hanging ;) These two are the 550
and the 551, the two King Charles as I remember. The wood is paccawood as
usual and the knife frame is from the 500 and the 501.

Best,
Haebbie

Huh? 550 and 551? King Charles? Two buck knives I never heard of....when I get some time I'll have to do a little searching and check them out. Very nice:thumbup:
