If you’re wondering how “German”/Nickel Silver can generate Copper salts (verdigris), there is a significant amount of Copper in white brass. Usually residues of the Tannic or Chromic acid used to tan leather can make your knife the first thing to turn green in the Spring.Man some beautiful 501’s today! And I learned a new word - verdigris ( thanks sportingspecialist!)
Great show all. The 501 is in my opinion the perfect pocket carry size.
Here are a few 501's with damascus. Blades and or bolsters. Top one is mastodon ivory, Middle is stag, and the bottom one is cocobolo I believe.
The discoloration on some of the damascus is not rust but oil to keep the damascus from rusting.
