I took a knife to Amelia Island this week. A Chinese Buck 818. Lightweight, excellent build and cheap in case someone decides to lift it

Getting tired of looking at all this stuff with BUCK printed on them. I collect other stuff too. Here is one of my favorite bowies.

edit... OK gang. I'll give some more information because 300Bucks did not appreciate all the negative mail I created. A Buck by any other name is still a Buck. This knife and the one in the following post is called a STINGER, by the now defunct Iron Mountain Knife company. The same company is responsible for the Cedar Creek Fillet knife shown in the second post following. In a thread on July 26, 2007 Joe Houser posted the following...

And while we had a custom shop we did some blades for a company called Cedar Creek. I remember a large and small fillet knife and a bowie like knife which was called, I believe, a Stinger. The Cedar Creek knives had a great handle, it kind of wrapped around the top and bottom of your hand.

I have a large collection of fillet knives. Here is a tough one to find.

edit... OK, more information. There is evidence that Buck made the blades for these in the old custom shop. In my collection of Buck fillets I have them in several colors and blade lengths.

edit... Oh gee... I guess it really is a Buck (525). I've added 1 more picture. There is also a version with a picture of an Indy Race Car they supposedly made 25,000 of and darn if I can find one.

This pic was so blurry on e-Bay that you had no idea what condition the knife might be in.

Sometimes.......that can work out real well.
