Hello Armand, Thank You Very Much for doing this for Everyone,

This is the Handsome Jack (top) and the Lil' Jack the Dad and Lad combo. Both are flat ground and have D2 blades. The lil' Jack is slightly out of focus because I used the auto focus and it focused on the Handsome Jack leaving the Lil' Jack in front of the focal point. I just received the Lil' Jack back from Buck after they replaced the scales because there was a blemish on one side. They did match the scales pretty close to each other.

Good morning ITE - good start! I bought a Buck 119 four spacer variation this past week. A comparison shot is included with 2, 3, and 4 spacer variations of my Buck 119 collection. Additionally my Buck 110 2-Dot came back from the Buck Spa all cleaned up and sporting a reprofiled edge (3-Dot edge per David Martin) - the knife is greatly improved from the knife I shipped in. OH
Ps I see Michael came in while I was posting - Handsome Bucks!

Hello OH,
Thank You Very Much, I have a Question, Can you explain to me how to count spacers on the 119? They all look the same to me.

Michael

Good Sunday morning everyone! :)

Here is a Sambar stag 111 I have with 2005 Idaho stamped mirror blade and nickel silver bolsters.

Here is an elk stag Buck 110 with finger grooves, nickel silver bolsters and drop point S30V blade.
What makes this one unique is that the tang is actually stamped. That's something Buck doesn't do with S30V.

Steel...y, that piece of mastodon ivory is great! For your picture show, Armand, I digged out charcoal pacca wood knives. Thank you, for your ongoing work.

I have noticed on the few S30V Alaskan Guide knives in my collection that the older ones are stamped and the newer ones are etched. There must have been a process change at some point. Beautiful knife. One of your handles or factory?

Haebbie, those are some sexy blades.

I'm obsessed with Buck knives in charcoal. Recently got this 112 from Copper & Clad with 5160 blade. I was going to post a different photo but now I'm inspired to share some charcoal Bucks.

My guess would be factory. This is just the way I purchased it a number of years ago.

Thank You for explaining Preston but I only see two micarta spacers on each knife?

It is difficult to see and helps to know first what you're looking for. Look closely at OH's first photo...starting at the blade and working back(at the hilt) there is an aluminum spacer followed by a micarta spacer, then another aluminum one followed by another micarta spacer. Then the handle. Then the micarta, aluminum, micarta then the pommel. That 119 is called a four spacer model 'cause it has four micarta spacers. HTH, Preston

Glad you regularly run the show, ITE. It sure does give us some great blade views each week! BTW, your 532 looks cool with a single bolster.

My first Buck 112 made it Home!:)

The road was a little bumpy getting it here. The story started with my post back on February 2nd about the “rogue rivet” that showed up on my knife: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1467215-Rogue-rivet-on-new-Buck-112 At the end of the chat, I had decided to keep the rogue rivet. But after looking at that 112 rivet for a couple of more days, I changed my mind about keeping the knife and decided to pursue the company’s product exchange option. I hoped to get an “improved knife.”

As David Martin noted, rocker rivets might “wear proud” at times. This second 112 I just got does have a slightly elevated rocker rivet. But the rivet is not tilted like the first, is tighter to the handle, and holds it very well. A plus is that in my eyes the handle wood color & pattern look even nicer. So the rogue is gone, and the new 112 is at home to stay! I also like the finger grooves very much. Here are some photos of my new blade. (…might get out my tripod for next time and work out some of the blurriness).

Have a great day, Everyone!
