I thought I would post some of my special ones today. This one has the first knife my wife bought me when we first starting dating in 1986. The 112 is stamped ..112.. and I have never used it, it`s very special to me. She bought it to surprise me. The hatchet she found in a hardware store that was going out of business in Southern Illinois when she was there visiting family. It was in a display case. What makes it unusual is that it has never had an edge put on it.

The next two are my oldies from pawn shop / resale shops. A very early 110 and a .112.

The latest addition to my lot. Bought this 103 off ebay BIN even with bad pictures as it looked like old grind lines and some of the description. Sheath needed a good cleaning and some mink oil, looks like a well cared for user from the sheath wear. I did have to restitch the top inch or so of the sheath back together. Top picture is mine, next two are from the auction.

Wow, gotta love those 110 Buck customs!! That Muskrat is SWEET 300!

Thats a handful of titanium Casey! Nice 103 Sithus, is it a user or safe queen now?

Cool gifts from your wife JK!! An unsharpened axe? Thats a rare one! I had an Alpha hunter once that had 0 edge on it, from the factory. I sent it back to get sharpened... :(

Sorry no new knives to take pics of here, but my wife did get me a new camera. A Nikon L110. (I knew it was a keeper when I saw the model number :D) Anyway I thought I would try some different pics and settings. Whattaya think? I hope they are better than my 10 yr old kodak. :D

Great knives guys . Postfalls, is that the Bass Pro model and I gave her a Valentines Day gift yesterday ? JK, Does you 106 have a year date and yes, a very early 110 ? Nice 313 Craig . 'E', I would not doubt that DU is Aurum etched . Habbie, Who was Herbertz ? Also, the etching stated 1993 but the stamp looked to be 1990 . Sithus, a nice 103 Skinner 1972-80. Great photos guys . DM

Yes Sir! Spot on again David! ;) Its actually her gift from friday though. Apparently there are some people crazy enough up here to cut holes in the ice, then jump into the lake... She went up north to watch these crazies with some friends for the weekend. I figured flowers before she left would leave me lots of free time for knives and camera instructions :D

Hi All,

Thanks for the great start to the SPS folks. Love the gold etch's, fixed blades, and stag photo's. The pic's of the older knives and the ax are great, and Jimbo's pink rose is very sweet;)....now lets see what you can do with the new camera Jim, you already have some nice shots!

Ok, this week for the SPS I put up a photo of a 3 dot 112 in stag. BG had a post of what looked like an odd stamp with the dots at the bottom of the 112 stamp (.112..) not the normal centered dot stamps. This 112 has what looks to be just slightly lower than center dot's. I'd say it was just an accident that it's lower and not done on purpose, and add camera angles in the auction photo's and they looked lower than they truly are. Did I ever tell you guys i just love stag?
