This a knife I had that I thought I would do something different with because I never liked the plastic handles. Being that I only use this camping this seemed like a good choice and I learned something new. How to do paracord wraps and lanyards

OK.... here is something far more interesting than my last photo....
Inspired by Bighaze and his shaving sharp vantage....
This CSAR-T 690 came from the factory hair popping sharp.
Today I gave it a test....

Tactical shave :)

Factory edge provided a pretty darn good shave, and a dry shave to boot!
Shaving cream would have been cheating....hahaha

Chris, you're nuts!:eek::thumbup::)

Wow, what a fantastic show to see after a hard days work! Thank you Armand for always having this SPS idea of yours running for us each week.

So many fantastic knives, I guess i'll add to the 112's.

Okay, you've inspired me as well. I will be doing a full fledged all out Vantage shave at some point this week. But I have sensitive skin so I'm need a little more than the factory edge. :)

There are so many good looking, hair poppin' sharp Buck Knives out there I could never tire of them!

Here's a Mammoth Bark 110 and a Mini Dagger I made :)

Well..... I needed something good for the SPS, and I figured this covered wild life too ;)

Wow, I had figured you had already went for it with that mirror edge vantage!

Hello
First off what a bunch of nice Bucks. I like the Kaalas with the wood handles. The Hoodlum is cool. And of course all the Build Outs are awesome. I like seeing Build outs they are special to me. A lot of people do not under stand what a Build Out is and often question what makes them special.
I have some 110 Build Outs I will try to share over the next few SPS. In 2005 Buck started giving Build Out knives a Stock number and tried keeping a list of them. Here is the knife designated 0110BO-1 the first 110 Build Out (post 2004) it is a NANO coated blade on a Buck 110. The number of these made is 9. This is a blade coating similar to Titanium the blade was only sharpened on one side to allow the Nano steel edge to do the cutting, but most people did not grasp the concept and would try to sharpen both sides of the blade thus causing the Nano edge to be ineffective.

Wow. I am lucky enough to own one of these 110 Nano blades (apparently 1 of only 9?). I have always wanted to know the number made - from whom or from where did you find that info? Is it documented somewhere? I asked J Houser a few years ago and he was even unsure.

I have 2 of the 110's with nano blades as well as 2 of the 119's and 3 of the 183 crosslocks. According to the paperwork I have which is signed by Joe Houser there was believed to be 40 110's, 80 119's with an unknown quantity of those being partially serrated (less than 20) 25 183 crosslocks and 80 226 fillet's.

I have yet to find or see a fillet but would like to get my hands on one.
