Man, It's getting tough to find a new knife to show, well new to me anyway.......today we venture into Spike116s collecting area. The Guildmaster/Workman series of hook bladed carpet knives. Introduced in the late 80's hoping to tap a market in lumber yard, industrial supply houses and even the normal hardwared store, the 811, 812 and 813 were introduced. As per their model number they came in one, two and three configurations. They disappeared from the Buck scene by the end of the ninties.
First up is a early, used, blade etched, odd burgundy colored one. Someone has removed the pinned bail. Bails were soon changed to the press fitted style. ...... 300Bucks

Dated 1988, a 23 year old, maybe first issue knife.

Sadly the the very tip of the regular knife blade is broken off.

This shows the bail difference, also both front knives are 813 and dated 1988. (Style change) Back knife is 1993 and blade is etched with Workman logo.

Here is the single blade 811 in its bubble pack also a straight knife version offered for a few years.

Don't worry Spike this is it for my 800 collecting.....

Beautiful pictures guys! Any guess on the wood on your Bass 110 ITE? I really like that! Cool etch also! Haebbie, I love the 118, and its even better in brass and wood! Gorgeous!

300, awesome pics as usual, and thanks for the history of those 800's! I have never seen one etched for grainger! Too cool!

JK, your 317 is in good shape . Do you have the sheath for it ? Seaplane, you been following me ? That is my lunch atleast a couple times during the week . Using the same knife, same crackers, pepperjack cheese and summer sausage and a tea . My dad and I had it all the time when hunting Bobwhites for our mid-day lunch . Craig, thats a good write-up and supporting photos for the Guildmaster series . Spike will like it . Habbie, I've seen and held the model 119, 102 and 103 in that configuration and about the same year date, 95 or 96 . But never seen the 118 dressed like that . E a nice gold etch model 110 . I think it was oak . Handsome . Post, thats the weather we're having too . Thanks guys for a great show . DM

Here's my latest Custom Shop 110. I bought this one from a listing on the forum. When Durbin listed the knives, I offered to post the pictures for him and when I saw this one, I jumped on it and never posted the picture. I love this wood. It has a strange tang stamp but I'll post that in it's own thread so as not to disrupt this one.

Here is a pic of my Ruger SP-101 in 357 Mag with a 650 Nighthawk, 470 Mentor, 694 Alpha Hunter, and a 279 Alpha Folder all with stainless/satin blades and black kraton handles:

I usually like to post my Buck knives with my S&W handguns but decided to try something different this morning. Got out in the snow yesterday for some practice with my mini hand cannon. It is a handfull with 357 Mag ammo but not so bad with 38 Spl.

I like the 100th with the wooden handles even more too.
The black ones are for all days and the the wooden ones are for sunday ;-)

I've seen and held the model 119, 102 and 103 in that configuration and about the same year date, 95 or 96 . But never seen the 118 dressed like that.

David, there's also a wooden 120, sold as a special edition.
But I couldn't find a track from the 118 in the BF or the BCCI
web site too. That's odd, isn't it?.

Best,
Haebbie

Nothing too terribly special, to most anyway. But, to me, it's an important knife. I've been looking for a 2002 110 to give my son who was born in 2002. Someday, in the not too distant future, this will be his.

Very cool idea. We (imafritz and I) did the same thing for his daughter Kaylee on her last birthday. She got a 110 made the year she was born to add to her collection.
