The Sunday Picture Show... (2-27-2011)

Hi All,

Wow what nice Buck knives you all have, I just love Armand's SPS!

Jim that ice filled photo of your's make me wish it was spring already. It took me 13 hours to go 220 miles Friday to get home to Cali. The two main HWY's were closed due to heavy snow.....but I made it;).

Stelth that Grolsch beer in your photo is one of my favorite beer's ever. Did you know that the brewery where it is made is the cleanest brewery in the world? It shows in the taste of the brew!

Ok, for todays show I'll put up some Duke's as Larry O would say;). In 1984 Buck did a gold etch "Colt Firearms" Duke 500, 350 of these were made, handle material is listed as Orange, Aurum did the etch. Then in 1986 Buck did a Reorder issue of the 84 knife, 300 of these were made, handle material is listed as Birch. Both of these knives came in a glass top wood display case with blue velvet. The 84 knife is stamped in script, Buck, 500, USA. The 86 knife is stamped in block, Buck, 500>, USA.

Armand's gold etch 110 was issued in 1988 (look at the tang stamp on ITE's blade), called "Large Mouth Bass, 250 of these were made, handle material is listed as brown, Gold etch by Baron.

I thougt i'd post my bass 110 to match Armand's. This bassy 110 was issued in 1987, called "World Record Bass", 500 of these were made, handle material is Brown, Gold etch by Baron.

Never understood why the Custom Shop put such a skinny little handle on a big honkin knife like a 916. Fortunately, the stacked leather version had a more utilitarian handle. Some other custom 916s like the Daniel Boone special had really thick stag, which seemed almost too big. Oh well, I have small hands anyway.

They don't look like users anyway Tele ;) Beautiful, beautiful display knives though! Those handles are awesome. I really like the "grain" in that buffalo!

Neat serrations longbow! I like that Ionfusion one the best :D

Well waiting on a couple new-to-me knives and was wonderin what to post. I had already decided what old pic to post titled "Cant wait for spring" and Jim posted this pic to cement the sentiment.

Very cool idea. We (imafritz and I) did the same thing for his daughter Kaylee on her last birthday. She got a 110 made the year she was born to add to her collection.

Very nice indeed, thanks Plum.

1998 110 Fingergroove...a VERY good year:thumbup:

Great show and photos again this week everyone! Thanks for posting them all and thanks again to ITE for starting this Sunday tradition.

I don't comment on each and every knife posted, but not because I don't look at and admire each and everyone. Simply because if we each did that for each and every post, the Sunday's show would end up like the "Official Buck Picture Thread" sticky at the top and would just be too long to go through.;)

I love them all,i just wish in had some fancy knives to show off, mine are almost all users ,i love them though.lol.Every knife posted is drooled over by me LOL

Thanks guys for a great show . A good activity for a snowy day . To me its like visiting the Buck store and museum all from home . Thanks guys . DM
