The Sunday Picture Show... (3-10-2019) . . . (OLD Show Look at the DATE...}

Happy Sunday gents! Weather has taken a turn here - for the better! It's hit 69° outside right now; soon as my wife returns from shopping (and with the pizza) I'll be heading to the river for a little Hickory Shad fishing. Wearing my Smoke Jumper Buck 110LT on my belt and will have the Buck 121 in the car (it lives there). OH

15522484619569148842646586269384.jpgI've been intrigued by the reputation of the big Striders for years now..But I didn't care for pear shaped blade. So when my Brother said he had a 880 SB.1 in ATS-34 I passed getting a Copper BCCI 112 for this one. It IS a Beast of a folder! It came with the Tanto point and factory edge but later this summer I hope to find a BG42 spear point blade..

Clinton, I like the copper 112 more.

Haebbie..I like the Copper 112 too!! But I had to decide if I wanted to put another one in the collection or if I would get one I would actually use. This time the Strider won out lol! The Copper BCCI 112 is a 'Grail' Buck for me. After the 2014 Blade Show (at home) 15 or so of my very best most important 112's went MIA. I was so bummed that I quit looking at Ebay and seldom visited the forum here. In 2016 or so I finally noticed the Copper 112 and it brought me back into active collecting again. It's perhaps the most odd 112 Buck has made and since then I have 'almost' got one 3 or 4 times. I'm truly hoping to get a Joe Houser or Leroy Custom using that frame..I just couldn't pass up a chance for the Strider!
P.S. Skyler that's a beautiful CS Buck! The blade is fantastic..kossetx that is one of the all time great build out 112's and the high radius grind drop point is my favorite blade in a 112..Great show today Armand!!

Is this a new way to clean a fish, or are you cutting bait?

Cutting chunks of mullet to bottom fish in the surf (Atlantic Ocean).

Old Hunter - What do you do with the shad? Around here we use them for crab bait?

I throw them back in the river unless someone fishing around me wants them; some keep the females for the roe and some fry them (hard as bricks!) I fish Shad for the sport of it.
