The Sunday Picture Show... (3-13-2016)

Thanks for all the great Info ITE:thumbup::thumbup: I only have the Knife, appears it came with a heavy duty leather Sheath Also, looks sweet:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
I really don't collect stag, but sometimes I have a hard time not buying it:eek::eek:

gedlicks, That 929 is Perfect:D:D Is it a LR? Really nice:thumbup::thumbup:

Here are some of my Mammoth bark ivory Buck Knives. Thanks for taking a Look:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Mike - I really like that 124. The only thing that would make it look better is if my hands were holding it.

The 929 is stamped JY for Juan Yuriart.

James-no problem, my door is always open, and that one is easy to find....Just put it back where you found it if I'm not home;) If you came out this way it would also be a good excuse to do some good fly fishing for Trout:thumbup::D:thumbup: I picked that 124 up off the Bay over a year ago, The seller had it listed as a Stag 124, In his description, he said it was the wierdiest stag he had ever seen....I Thought that was funny:D

I just looked at the 929 again. Man I hope I find the right one for my Collection, The blade is exceptional, I don't know if I've seen much nicer wood on a handle, and best of all nothing over the top, but as close as it gets. If that was a list purchase I'll bet you were extremely pleased getting to see that in your hands for the first time. Even in your amazing collection that is somewhat of a standout, still nothing compared to a few(mammoth D Guard,903, fisk buffaloes, stag that would rival the annual shed in most NW states....) enough rambling, Hope the rains letting up out there.

Here are a few pics I posted on a thread earlier this week when I found out what GAW is, a little slow on the forum lingo, but I'm slowly getting there... Anyways, Here is a hunk of Mammoth I came across recently and took a few pics with one of my Fav's:thumbup::thumbup:

Thanks Armand!
Always look forward to the SPS! :)

Nice Buck knives as always being posted here today.:thumbup::thumbup:

I just received these in the mail this week.
I have a little project in mind for all three...when I can get to it.
Been working on a couple other projects lately.

Beautiful knives beautifully placed and photographed gentlemen. Well done.

I went off on a tangent with these UltraBlade knives so brace yourselves. Notice the tang stamp on the 241 BK as it has the BUCK date symbol "+" for 1991 when these knives were around. Joe Houser mentioned ( http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/794677-Early-90-s-Ultra-Blade-knives) that Buck made some of the blades and I believe that this is one of those. I've sprinkled some of the other models of the same brand for your amusement. The tree/sky photo shows the "before" as I am expecting high winds today that may topple trees and cut power. Branches are already hitting my metal roof. Luckily, I have flashlights and chainsaws for both hands!

Thank You ITE for another Greatest Show. There are some great knives today and some great picture taking skills. For my donation to the show, here is an older picture of my rubber handled knives. Top is a 415 then a 694 and bottom is a 279.

Thanks ITE for another SPS. I have not missed a single one since I joined here. Today I would like to share the 103 I have. I purchased it in 1968.

STEELHEADBULLY - Mike. I remember that 124 now. I noticed that knife on the bay as well. You got a great deal on that one if I remember right.

Here is the other 929 I have. These are the only 2 variations I have seen. The one with weathered elk handle and the bacote wood one. I am sure there are others out there I just have not seen them.

Hi All,

Fantastic show as always folks:thumbup:. Brother Armand thank you for the GSOE and the dedication you put into the show!!!!

STEELHEADBULLY: Wow that is some 124 you have there, it's a keeper for sure. The Spirit of 76 etched knives were one of the first custom limited edition knives Buck issued, they had 7600 of them made. I don't remember all of the story but the production was delayed/bicentennial timing issue or some such thing, and they way over estimated how many to make. So Buck had/has been slowly using them up. As I remember reading they used up the last of the blades doing the 50 stags for the BCCI's 20th (some of the 50 had sheaths and some did not as they did not have 50 of the sheaths left in stock). I was not there at the 20th and saw the one Armand has shared and always lusted after it. A few of them popped up on that large auction site not long ago, so I blame the need to buy one on Armand and his great photo's;).

Hi All! Another great SPS begin! Great pictures of great knives.

RBasil, that's a sweet 110... How hard is it to get a 110 Damascus in Russia
or any Buck Knives... I always look forward to see what you are going to share
with us here on the SPS...

Thanks for sharing all the time...:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Native American Series. Quail, Kachina Doll, Thunderbird, Scorpion.

EDIT: There was a short discussion about these on another thread concerning Bucks naming. The 2nd knife labeled "Kachina Doll" has been pointed out to more resemble a Zuni Knifewing. The 4th knife which Buck labeled as a "Scorpion" is clearly not a Scorpion in shape or number of legs. (a scorpion would have 8). It does more closely resemble a Gecko or lizzard.

Thanks Roger - DeSotoSky for posting the 110 Native American series. You have the complete set. I think I am still missing the quail. And as far as the 119's I think I have 2 of the cougar models. 1 with the display case and 1 just the knife. These do not come up for sale very often anymore.

Thank Armand, it's really sweet knife. I like it.
Today it is not so hard to buy Buck knives in Russia as it was 10 years ago. Serial models are on sale in our online store. There are difficulties with rare or custom knives. Many US sellers refuse to send knives in Russia. :( Many thanks to friends from BCCI who live in America, and who help me to buy rare or custom Buck knives :) Especially a big thanks to president of Buck Collectors Club - John Foresman

A great SPS as usual! ITE that is the nicest Bucklite I've seen that Bucklite 422 Rangerlite!! If they bring that one back I want be able to send out a money order fast enough! Yea; I do it the old fashion way. I'm fixing to make 53 with out ever having a credit card and it's to late to start it now!
