The Sunday Picture Show... (3-17-2013)

Really great show so far Love all the different knives.
Here is a Buck 317 I have replaced the 317 blades for a Buck 110 and a Buck 112 blade that have been partially Chip Flinted. The tang stamps on both blades are Buck Anvil USA. The bolsters have been knapped and the handles are Sambar Stag.

Haebbie....you must feed birds in your back yard. You get some beautiful shots of the birds in your area!!

Stumps, your knife is a group 5 knife and made in 1948. Its beautiful...
The sheath is one you would find on a fiber spacer barrel nut circa 1963...

Thanks Matt!! I really liked the knife, but finding out it is actually older than I thought makes it even nicer. I got lucky and found that one with the newer sheath at a local gun show. It looked bad with the old yellowed shellac on it...couldn't tell what I had.

I'm guessing this might be one that Al Buck worked on and it has the original edge!!

Love that picture jb!!! :)

You all sure have some nice green Bucks and other beautiful knives!! Thanks for sharing them here on the SPS.:thumbup::thumbup:

great show as always guys!

The green theme made me realize how understocked I am on green knives. Have to work on that I guess :)

These are my only 2

Here is a nice little 525 Buck I purchased last year. It seemed appropriate to today. Gold plated body and blade, green clamshell case and green velvet lining. It's also serial numbered (048). I've never seen a Buck quite like it with the gold plated blade. If anyone knows more about this knife I would love to know. (pictures by seller)

Very cool SPS this week! Lots of really great Buck eye candy :thumbup::thumbup:

DeSky, cool small Buck... What year did that one come out in... I have a gold one like it but it doesn't have the good luck Buck or
the horseshoe and clover on the handle...

Thanks for sharing on the SPS... ITE ...:thumbup::thumbup:
