Hello Everyone!!! Another SPS!!! This week I added to the collection an Old Custom Shop Slimline Skinner knife Model 927. Well put together knife that feels great:D:D

Don't have any motorcycle knives. But here is a photo to represent what it takes to get one. A lot of coin.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, this is a special edition SMKWs, Buck 312 jigged bone with silver dollar emblem, a 93 silver dollar and special case. As you can see it is a 1993. Made in Buck factory. Not the silver dollar.

Thanks as always Armand for this wonderful show!

I "FINALLY" was able to obtain a Burgundy Micarta Akonua :D  I'll post these and then some "after" pictures when it gets back from the Spa. This completes my collection of Burgundy Bucks. Although I have heard that there are one or two Burgundy 110's out there. Hmm. ;) (Apologies for the poor picture quality)

I posted this 301 earlier in the week on a different thread,

The older 300 slip joints in good condition are difficult to find around N,W Montana but even in this condition they are welcome in my collection as a sample of their type. If I remember correctly from the top down in order of manufacture. The top 3 are Schrade. Perfect example how not to treat knifes.

375Dave,

I think the technical term for those knives is "users".

bertl, users for sure, the X across the tang stamp on the grooved makes me wonder if it has been in for a spa treat and rejected?

Happy Sunday to all and thank you again Armand for bringing this thread to us for all to enjoy. I look forward to seeing everyone's pictures of some of their great Buck Knives.

Here is a couple Buck 110's made for Indian Motorcycles. 1 for Indian of Boston and 1 for Indian of Wethersfield. Both of these I have are in their original boxes but I only have the sheath for the Boston version.

375Dave,

After about a dozen attempts, Buck quit trying to repair the Schrade-made knives because of the time involved and the fact that the repair wasn't very effective. 300Bucks explains it pretty well in this thread:
"Exploded views of some Buck knives. Assembly, Schematic, How there made."

Thank you once again Armand!!:thumbup::thumbup:

Dave….that was an excellent find!!
STEELHEADBULLY…very nice knife and interesting the way Buck ran the lanyard hole through the stag. It looks nice.

Here are seven of the earliest Buck 110 boxes from 1964 to 1967.
They are about 1 1/2" tall.
I put the box from later years on top left to show the difference.

Each of those boxes have knives and sheaths too…but I will show those another time. :)

Here are four of my early Buck filet knives and boxes.

TruBlue frame lock and Sawby folding filet knives.

Hi All,

I hope each and every Buck fan who comes to see Armand's "Sunday Picture Show" (truly the greatest show on earth) gets as much enjoyment form seeing all of the fantastic knives here each week as I do!

Today I share a special Buck knife here with all of you and a life long story to go with it. When I was a small child visiting my Grandfather's home I loved to look at an old picture he had on the wall. That picture was a print of an old 3 masted sailing ship, to me it was an old pirate ship and when at school for art class I would draw that ship, over, and over and over. One day my teacher said that I should draw a different picture, so I did, I drew a picture of that ship sunken at the bottom of the ocean....LOL, she was no amused. Anyway, one day my Grandfather told me that the picture was of an old Navel vessel called the USS Constitution. He also told me that when my dad was a young boy about my age they had seen the ship in person and actually took a tour aboard the ship and walked on her decks. Now that ship burned forever into my memory by my Grandfather's story about him and my Dad, so this picture meant something to me. When my Grandfather passed away I got that picture. I found attached to the back of the picture was an old news paper clipping talking of the restoration of the ship.

Now for the Buck knife application to this story. During the restoration of the USS Constitution some Teak deck wood and some brass hardware was acquired and used as handle material for a Limited Edition Buck Duke 500 knife. When I found out about this knife I just had to find one to go with my Grandfather's old picture. I was contacted by forum member Steven Sandusky, he said he had a knife he wanted me to have. I responded with, can you send me a photo and how much do you want for it. He replied, "I am offering to give it to you"! I am truly honored to have this knife in my collection and MR. Sandusky had no idea of my connection with the USS Constitution. I am hummbled and honored by MR. Sandusky's kind gesture. Thank you kind Sir!

Now the USS Constitution Picture, Paper clipping, and the Buck Duke 500 (the belt buckle is also made from deck wood and brass from the restoration).

JB4570,
Great looking knife and really special for you, but there is one thing missing from your display: your own drawings.

Thanks for sharing the story.
