The Sunday Picture Show... (3-29-2015)

This is my favorite Harley Davidson 110. Edition III, the Early Racers. I really like the white Corian handle. There were 10 knives in the series, spanning from about 1990 to 1998. Each edition had a different handle. All were black etched and made in great numbers, usually 3,000 with a few exceptions.

John…great story and an excellent Buck knife!!:thumbup::thumbup:

Craig…Armand's birthday won't be here for another half a year.
Fantastic thing you've done for him!!:thumbup::thumbup:

Roger…I have one of that series of HD Buck 110s. I agree about the white Corian. I like it!!:thumbup::thumbup:

Buck 110 with Mt Fuji gold etch. c. 1988. Beautiful stag handles. I can find no special projects listing for this knife. No box so I don't have a catalog number to know if it was a factory issue. Mt Fuji is the highest peak in Japan at 12,388'. It is located 60 miles SW of Tokyo and last erupted in 1707. My 'gut' feeling is that the etch is not Aurum and the serial number location is atypical. I have seen some Taylor etches serial numbered on the bolster. If anyone has more info, please share. ( yes, I'm a brass polisher.... )

Wow, what a show! And a nice story, JB. Thanks, Armand for another SPS.

I don't own Buck motor cycle editions. So I digged out the pictures from my twin sets.

JB gets the GOLD!!
Truly awesome story.
A person could get a little choked up....

I have been thinking about a knife to post and remembered this black 560
In its self its no big deal, however this one was blade etched on one side by Elgin Thomas
BCCI #26 and on the other side by Mr. Chuck. Date of 8-27-93 etched on there as well, and tang has a 1992 stamp. Of course it has never been used. Came out of the Elgin Thomas collection some years ago.

What can I say, very special show everyone. And special memories for JB.

Sunday is not over, in the military service they use to say during a break "smok'em' if you got'em", now in a more healthy knife world we will say "show'em if you got'em".

bucktool - I have only seen these 2 that I have and do not know if there were any others without the city names or not. I also do not know if there were any others made for other cities.

gedlicks do you know if all of the Indian 110s had city names below the logo? I have seen these on the bay, but never noticed the city names.

Here is another HD Buck with white Corian. Looks like the same one Roger has that he posted earlier.

I can't contribute much to the Harley theme. The closest I can come is that almost 55 years ago I had a '57 Model K. I might have spent as much time pushing it as riding, but once it started it would really fly.
