Thanks Preston - I added a few knives to the case so now it's full. 2 cases to go. The big boys go in those.

wow there is mirror polishing done there---just imagine think about all the time spent mirror polishing those blades--badass james!!

sassafrass - I won't have the display set up until the knife show which is April 6th thru 8th.

Here however is a display case with some of the knives I will be displaying. These are all from the old custom shop. Some of these might end up being replaced by others that I may want to take in their place.
I will be filling 3 case's like this with customs and 4 aluminum cases on the second table will have Buck Limited Edition knives and a few other misc special Buck knives.

Not a very good picture due to poor lighting.

My Gosh!!! Beautiful display James!!! Is your show for display with judges? We'll have to start calling you Mr. Buck-knife...

Desoto - Guessing your knife is for the 100th anniversary. Same cutout as the 119 they did for the 100 year anniversary. the handle is definitely ironwood. Probably a one of a kind or one of only a few made. That would explain why it is not listed anywhere. Nice knife.

sassafrass - Yes the displays are judged and some will win display awards. I don't think the judges like Buck knives though. No matter what I do my Buck display never wins anything and some displays that are much weaker in my opinion wins over me everytime. I think it's all about who you rub elbows with. I do it to bring attention to Buck knives and the bcci. Not necessarily to win an award however the recognition would be nice.

gedlicks I really like the 2 112's in center of the display. .What's the story of those 2?

Those 112's are both serialized from the old custom shop. Both are stamped "BUCK CUSTOM USA". The pearl one came from a forum member for sure and I think the stag one did as well. Both are fine examples.
I owe a big thank you to all the forum members that have helped me acquire some real great treasures.

Custom Shop serialized 112's are the rarest of the rare..I've seen 1, just one in all my years of chasing 112's . For some reason few were numbered and I think there was less than 150 total .

For what it's worth, from what I have seen over the time I have been here you have probably the nicest collection of Buck knives that I have ever seen. I know DP has exquisite collection also. I've just never seen such a large group as yours, although I know he has several large groups that I haven't seen all at once. You two would definitely be able to put on one awesome show, with just the two of you...

It's like I tell him, people are just jealous. They can't stand the fact you have something better than them? I don't know why...

Curious about the knives with the bears on them. Are those only on 110's? Or are they ever on 501's/503's? I think they are cool as heck!!!!
Hi Blackdog,

There are a few 501s and 503s with gold etched blades, no bears that I'm aware of.

sassafrass - There are only 2 judges that walk around and judge the displays. It seems to me the judges there are not into fixed blades and large bowies. They obviously judge the folder collections quite high.
