Question Haebbie did Buck stop making the 111. maybe you can help.

MICHAEL5135 - Yes the 111 was discontinued a few years back. Your knife was one of the last production run of 111's which they did with that etch such as yours has.

Here is an old thread on the 111 and when Buck may have ended production.

Mine is serialized different than yours. Plus when I used the stand a little of the blade markings rubbed off. It seems like the blade has a decal the same picture as yours Haebbie.

Well, Michael, I think your knife is a prototype. The etching is not perfect and the serializing is different to the form Buck used for the whole edition.
Also the background of the engraving is coloured with gold. Congratulations.

Picked up a little 55 for myself today, to ride along with my 112. Been fiddling around with her all day, handy little knife. Waiting on a near mint pre '81 503 to show up in the mail this week. Can't seem to upload pics from my phone, says the files are too large or something. Great SPS so far!

Happy Easter to me. This is my newest Buck. I read it was out here on the forum and went to the paid vendor's site and ordered one right away.

It's really a great knife. It's the sharpest 110 out of the box yet!

Beautiful knife. I used my 5160 119 for first time today to carve the ham. No pictures but I think the 5160 is a winner imho.

These are the 3 Buck knives I have so far, the one in the middle is from 1988 so I think it has the 425 steel.....I want to add the 119 to my collection next.
