The Sunday Picture Show... (4-24-2011)

Hello everyone, it's time again for the Sunday Picture Show... This Show is for everyone... So feel free to talk about and compliment each other about there new or old Buck knives... We all like to show are new or older knives that we just got or had for years... So everyone please share and post a picture of one of your Buck knives or a picture with lots of Buck knives... Fixed blades or folders... Post all the pictures you want, but save some for next Sundays Picture Show... Post a new picture or a old picture... If you only have one Buck knife or alot of Buck knives... Just take some new Picture of it or of them and just get creative and make Buck Proud.... Thanks, ItsTooEarly ...

Here's my pictures for the SPS... This Sunday I have a 500> with a gold etch blade with some deer on it... With stag handles... One stag inlay looks like it has a crater in it... I never notice that before... So it looks like I need to get a new stag inlay put on it or maybe I'll just leave it like it is... It still looks sweet to me... Thanks for looking and enjoy the show... ITE

I don't have a better picture. That's one of the final run of 106 hatchets Buck made.

Best,
Haebbie

This is a 110 that I engraved recently for a client. It has nickel/silver bolsters and custom "Maury Mountain" agate scales by Redrummd. It was difficult to photograph because of the high polish on the scales and bolsters"

Here's a 103 I bought on the BCCI auctions. I have never seen one before, and can't locate the info. Does anyone know when or who it was made for, or what BCCI newsletter has the special production list in it? Thanks for any help!!!

Some good stuff guys. The 103 and 500> I had not seen. Wow, very nice job Peter on engraving the 110. HK, do you know much about your 501, who did the engraving? Thanks, DM

Haebbie, you never cease to amaze me!! Thank you very much!!!!

I like the fact that this one is unetched and unserialized! I wonder how many are out there like that? :D

Thank you Haebbie!!!!!

Beautiful knives this weekend gentlemen! Great pics as well!

Hi All,

Happy Easter to one and all!

A very nice start to the SPS folks. Wow Armand the stag on that 500 is great, peterinct your engraving is super (how much do you charge?), Jim I saw that one on the BCCI site and I'm happy you got it, all MP & other reflective items are hard to photograph....;)

Here is an old 112 with the bolsters fully engraved....sorry I should have taken a moment to polish her up!

Nice start to the show! Happy Easter and I hope you all find the egg with the hidden buck knife in it! Here are two oldies but goodies that came in this past week.I've never been into the 112's much, But these two came together . They are both 2 dot stamps and the 110 has the three pin handles. I have another 110 2 dot that has the 4 pin handles. Must have been a transition year . Anyway, The 112 looks to have never been sharpened and is the older non nail nick model. It would be a good candidate to send in and have refurbed with a nice factory edge. It's not sharp at all and I don't plan on toting it, so I will leave it alone! The 110 has seen some use but is still tight and other than some sharpening marks and brass blemishes, she is ready for another 40 years!

I love me some patina!

Great, one JB. Seaplane, you say your 3 pin is a two dot. All nice knives. Your 532 should be a laminate wood. DM

Pu Yi owned nothing that nice. Stunning work Peter, Red and Buck. Wow! I have stopped looking for my favorite screen background/saver. Thank you.

I know I posted this one before, but not in the SPS. I'm playing with my copy stand, so they are new and different from last time. I still need some lights to get rid of the shadows, but the stand is working good.

Love that Burl Plumb! Yes David, The 3 pin is a two dot. Is that a correct blade or maybe a re-blade? It's a user for sure! Hmmm..... Chocolate! :)

Sea, No, I think its correct. There are three versions of pins for a 2 dot, yours is the first and more rare, the second one is too (4 small), the third is more common (4 large pins). This last being the one we see the most . So, I was thinking, boy, thats nice he has that if its a 2 dot? St8, I said a laminate as 94 was the year Buck went to obeechee wood. I checked my 531 and though somewhat reddish and lighter, it looks the same as yours and I thought it was a laminate as well. Buck may have refered to it as birch. I spoke with Joe H. about this before and he told me Buck went to laminate in 94 across the production line. Nice one Plumber. DM
