The Sunday Picture Show... (4-27-2014)

Dressing up nice and carrying a nice knife is always fun.
I always liked that 110 LL James. Mine LL is also green. Does anyone know if they ever make one with a blue inlay or custom scales or are all the custom scales aftermarket?

Here's my Sunday project, which I'm strongly considering adding a polished clip to, along side a 301 with all blades stamped Buck and 3 inlay pins:

Two weeks ago gedlicks posted a picture of a 2 bladed 186. Both blades lock and have their own rockers. It wouldn't be much of a deal to make one of these. All you would have to do make a liner to seperate the blades. The elephant in the room is the already thick handle of the 186. The 186 and the original 560 were 1/2" thick. The newer 560 was 7/16" thick. By removing 1/32" from each side of a "skinny" 560, you can get the thickness down to 3/8".
If you added an additional 1/8" thick blade to a 3/8" thick knife, you would get back to a total thickness of 1/2" plus the width of the spacer.
The 1st. photo shows the 2 bladed 186. The 2nd. photo shows 2- 1/2" knives, a 7/16" knife, and a 3/8" knife.View attachment 435266View attachment 435267

Twin 104 barrel-nut set from 1963. I bought these at a gun show and it had the original receipt for $18.50 from a Marine Corp Exchange and all the paperwork. it was all in the top of the box, as the bottom was gone. It also contained the sharpening stone that had never been used. It had a price sticker for $1.15.

WTG wild bill. Congrats on posting the photo. Very nice knives, excellent display and thank you for sharing.

Awesome knives everyone! Thanks Armand for putting on another super SPS! Now I need to get a 110 liner lock!

Haebbie..... That is a nice knife for a special day. Your family looks wonderful :-)

Stumps.... your neice is impressive, most impressive! A 26 mile ride at 11 years old makes her a champion!

Armand.... I very nearly bought one of those orange Bantams today.
I was at the big box store wanting a paklite skinner. I have been eyeing it in the display case for a while.
I figure it would be a perfect garden/yard knife.
BUT.... they only had the display model, and couldn't find the box with sheath :(
They did have the Bantam in stock, but my willpower somehow prevailed....

I have created a sticky on How to post photographs. Those of you who are 'tech' guys, write clearly how folks can posts photographs in the threads. Be concise. Any posting not deemed correct will be chopped and shredded and composted. I also don't expect more than a handful of posts. Remember this is a how to sticky. 300Bucks, Moderator

Hey guys, sorry I'm late to the party. No major pics this week, but I made caprese this morning with the 560XLT on kitchen duty... the new addition is a Kwik Thumb Bar. Definitely digging it for one handed opening...
