The Sunday Picture Show... (4-9-2017) . . . OLD Show Look at the DATE...

Thank you for posting the pics! I have chased 112's since 2007 and this is the very first time I have seen one like this! It's numbered 0040 and came in a big Buck custom box with a wood plaque. So I'm fairly sure it came from Buck and not a aftermarket company. Lazer etch handle and engraved bolsters plus the blade etch 1919 1986 ...I looked at the history of the West Virginia police and I couldn't find any reference to 1986 as a celebration of anything. .Has anyone seen or heard of this 112?

That 112 looks nice.I haven't seen one of those before your picture.

Here's one that landed at the old homestead a few weeks ago.

Another great SPS going. I don't have any of the alominum handled Bucks but have a line on a NIB 111.

I got a couple of my oldies back from the Spa this week! Thanks for the help Mike.

One line 118

A pair of 2 dot 112s

A 4 dot 110

And then there's this Vanguard with stacked leather and smooth elk spacers front and back.

This one arrived yesterday.I took it to the shop and mirror polished the rocker,SS liner and the spine of the blade. It turned out really well.

SportingSpecialist the 'Canoest' is a great early gold etched 112 and I think was distributed by Sears. ..Among the many fantastic Bucks ITE has is one in a clear 422 frame. There's been a few LE 112's connected with law enforcement and police agency's but this is one is completely unknown to me. It showed up on Ebay and lasted less than a hour. Since the main focus of my 112 collection is rare, odd and 1 of 1 I was glad to get this one. I don't have it in hand yet but this is the kind of 112 I'm always searching for. I'm hoping that it was 'sample' of what Buck could make and this project never was run. That would make it 1 of 1. I haven't dug into the BCCI site yet to see if it on any list but I have looked at lots of 112's and never heard of this one. One of the great joys of collecting Buck knives for me is the thrill of the hunt for the odd ones ....and of course bringing one home. Great show today!

I like the rare 112's also.I have a few 112's but I don't believe any are really rare, maybe low production numbers but not rare.I do have a "Rattler" but the production number is 300,so again cool but not rare.

Your W.VA.Police model is very cool.

We all like rare 112's or just rare Buck knives... Well I do anyway...:thumbup::thumbup:

Here you go Clint...

:)

Appreciate these photos posted for us "newbie" knife folk....thanks much!
This is clearly my choice of a favorite knife displayed today.

I've not seen one before; didn't know a 111 existed.
Don't know how many times I've looked at it today....but the count is high!:)
From what I gather through the brief chats, not at all easy to find one.
Sigh....

Here's my Favorite 111 Classic... For the new guys...

Classic 111 ...

:) :) :)

Is the 'gold' 111 a factory variety? I also have not seen drop point Classics before and are they a variety or RRR variations ? One of the great things about the SPS is the fact we get to see very special Bucks! Lots of neat 112's today too. .The WV police 112 was a issued Buck? That explains why I haven't seen one before as law enforcement and mitilary folks will keep and treasure there issued gear and wepons more than knife collectors ever will. Thank you SportingSpecialist for the information on my new 112! Stag is wonderful pearl and ivory great too but odd and rare is what I love the most in my 112's. .

Went fishing this past Wednesday, had some Striped Bass to clean - Buck 121 Fisherman. OH

I like this a lot...did you do the work? Preston

Yes... I had a rubber handled Vanguard just begging for some love. A few hours this afternoon between some other chores and this is what I came up with. It's probably the most comfortable handle of any knife I own.

Clinton, it's a brass classic 111... 1 of 5... I know of two of them... I know an ex-Buck-employee who says he has one too... I have never seen it but I'm working on it ☆☆☆
