112 Cactus...

That's a beauty Armand, I love the way he did the cactus on the bolsters. Great find.

I found these two hanging around my crab apple tree.

Nice Tel, is the three dot 112 one of the buildouts from awhile back?

Here is photo to show two things. First is a new prop for knife photography, this elk antler burl was unsuitable to make into a belt buckle and the craftsman gave it to me. A odd tine had grown out of the edge. (He was related but they aren't that expensive)....I wanted it for a knife photo prop, I ground a groove in the top to catch the edge of the knives with my dremel. Always be on the lookout for stuff to go in your photos.

And Second, I wish I had a before photo, but that old 307 had all the ink worn off the shield. Leesa Martin (David Martin's spouse) used her schrimshaw skills and reinked the whole shield. Looks good. So if anyone has a really nice 300 or 700 that needs ink in the shield letters, she can fix you up..........300

Plum, I don't rightly know. I think I got it from one of the guys here. I'll find the box later if it had a box.

I believe that it's one of these (see below) buildouts that came out IIRC in 2009. They sold one with rams horn also.

These pictures are being posted at the request of David Martin. It's my 1995 603 (soon to have a new home). It's not the most visually attractive version of the 103, but it sure appears that it would be great in the field dressing game. The handles feel very grippy.

Another Great SPS going on today!!!
WOW ! I am loving the Yellowhorses
ITE, That one sure has some nice work on the bolsters!

Thanx to EEE, I was able to have and admire this Micarta scaled 112 that was hand radiused at the factory, and was a salesman's knife...wish I could find a way to get more history on it,but for me as a hobby customizer it is super nice to have such an example...

Cloudy day here so I figured it might be a good one to try to capture this Ivory...This knife has been a hard one for me to capture the true beauty of these mastodon scales, they either come out washed out or the bolsters and steel are very dark ? Here's the best I've gotten so far.

My grandpa is Wes Chapman. He designed a lot of sheaths for Buck and RRR. These are some knives from his collection that he left my father when he passed.

Thanks JC, for sharing some more of your collection with all of us here on the SPS...

E-mail me some time I would like to talk to you about your grandpa, Leroy and sheaths... ITE

PDave, I really like that 110 with that Damascus blade... Just Sweet... The other DY knives are sweet too... ITE

Thanks ITE, that's my favorite of them all for more than one reason. I bought that one at the first knife show that I ever attended (Pasadena, 2009) from Bruce Dollinger. David was there and I got to spend time with him and Sheriff Rusty over coffee and donuts. The knife is shown in Buck's 1991 catalog.

Some great knives here. Thanks guys. HK, I had not seen a hatchet like that. . Thanks, Plumber for showing your 603. The Camel bone Duke looks handsome too. I have read about Wes Chapman and ran into another man that knew him. Thanks, 300-- she enjoyed the project.

Wow, great show, you guys never disappoint. Sit, I think thats the 1st one of those canoes Ive seen that didnt have a cracked scale at a rivot.

Chapman, welcome-great pics, knives and sheaths.
