The Sunday Picture Show... (5-22-2011)

Keep hitting it 300 your almost thru. 'E', whats the center material on your Leroy Duke? DM

Another good SPS. JB, I'm voting to leave the 112 unpolished..looks great.
My new knife & gun for this week is a Kalinga I got off the forum from Dasbear...and a Glock 27, a Talo offering w/ boron-nickel coating & Trijicon n/s

I know alot of folks will disagree but personally I don't like brass because of the normal dingy yellow patina. BUT I love the color of those bolsters, that is not your normal brass patina. I would have to leave that at is, if it looks as good as the picture does.

Hi st8yd,

Yes the patina looks that good. It almost looks like the old school case hardening you see on steel on a firearm parts (if that makes sence). I think it just needs to be left as is.

JB, a nice looking 3 line 112, your son will love it. From Gregg who? DM

Hi Dave, Greg is a fellow forum member.

David, I'm not sure what the inlays are made of... I know that Leroy didn't make this Duke... She can't remember who made it... She was in sales... ... Leroy as never seen this knife... I'll have to show it too him, maybe he can tell me who made it... :) ... ITE

Yes I know exactly what you mean, that was kinda my thoughts also. Definitely leave it. I wonder if it was something special done to get the coloring or if its not brass. Regardless it looks great.

Great show guys, sorry I wasnt around to participate. Had to get my daughter through the Hunters Safety course.......which she passed:D

Thanks Jim, I'm excited. I havent got one yet, but I'm pretty sure I will get her a 113 as her hunting knife, which is what I hope to gut a couple with this year. Then we'll match:D
