The Sunday Picture Show... (5-5-2013)

Another great Sunday show. I love that Paul Bunyon 307.

I got a Hoodlum in April. I saw it was in stock on the Buck site and got one. After watching a few you tube videos, Nutnfancy's the most, cemented that as one of my BCCI knives for the year.
I took it to camp this weekend. Boy is it an impressive knife. The brochure inside the box showed using it to baton wood. I took some Adirondack hardwood and tried it. I had never batoned with any knife. This knife did a great job. I also used my new Grandfors Bruks small forest axe. Either one would be an asset in a pack. I'm glad I got some marks on the Hoodlum, it will be that much easier to use the next time.

Sitflyer, that's a Sweet 500, for sure...

DeSotoSky, what a cool Paul Bunyan 307... I hope to find one someday...

mqqn, I really like that old micarta handle 112 in the box you have... It's really nice...

Invoice, nice hard working knives you have... That's a good 2 dot 110 and I like that used WVU 422 Bucklite...
Did you get that 422 off the bay...

Stumps, nice Buck/Strider... Is it the 650/890 BO...

Thanks for sharing your Beautiful Buck knives and pictures everyone...

ITE, that Damascus 500 is really something else! It looks great against the stag:thumbup:

Stumps,

Do you remember where in NM for the elk?

Bert

I have seen probably a couple thousand elk while backpacking out west. The two bottom pictures were in Carson National Forest, south of Brazos Ridge in northern New Mexico...as close as I can remember. The top one may have been near there also. That is about 30 trail miles south of Chama which is on the Colorado border.

Thanks, Stumps. I know that area well. I don't mean the particular spot in the photos, but I spent a fair amount of time in the Brazos area.

Excellent show guys, that 102 is 110% Armand. Love the mint 1st. 1st 112 and t Dm boster 500. All the pics are great but to numerous to comment on all.

Went to Longhorn Steaks tonite for my 21st anniv dinner with my lovely wife and daughter. Great steaks, service and atmosphere but as is so often the case in steakhouses, lousy steak knives. Just by chance I happened to have a knife on me;)

That big honkin knife wasnt sharp enough to spread the butter on the bread:thumbdn:

Added the white headhunterz pattern 285 recently-all the wallys left me high and dry but fortunately found one while trolling for same price and didnt have to pay sales tax:)

I got it a long time ago from SierraWest Trading Company. As you can see part of the slab is broken around the pin. Still works:D

Once again...Nice SPS.
Hey, If I give you a kind word, would you give me that 102?
Been a while since a posted, maybe the weekend after Mothers' Day I'll put some of my winter grabs up.
Thanks again for a great Sunday morn.
Mark

One thing that bugs me aboutn the sunday pic show is i can't get my pics on here, dunno if its a setting on the computer or what,my pics never load.Congrates on your anniversary imafritz!one thing i notice about Buck is that they know their customers have a passion about their knives, and when one is in need of repair ,they absolutely go above and beyond to get the customers' problems taken care of.

All beautifull knives this week folks, congrates to all!

Fritz, Happy 21st Anniv. , looks like you and your family had a good time... Nice Buck knives too...
