The Sunday Picture Show... (5-5-2019) . . . (OLD Show Look at the DATE...)

we don't have a lot of flea markets up here----few swap meets---auctions---prices go crazy--lots of garage sales and sometimes ya can find a buck knife there but not often any more---everyone has their smartfone looking everything up... yep lucky one this morning-found some single bit axes too---not buck....

It's been pretty much that way here for some years now, Craig. I've almost stopped going and looking...still get that urge every once in a while. I went to a gun show a few weeks ago, every vendor that had Buck knives(there weren't many) wanted 'ebay' prices.

I don't quit going though. I found my Yellowhorse American flag 112 at a country flea market. The guy selling it knew what it was worth but wasn't selling for anything near that price. I pulled out everything I had which was less than he was asking and he took it. You never know, so I go... sans smartphone. Value to me is if I'm happy with the sale.

Listing on Ebay is a hassle plus all the fees too..So not having to deal with that is worth something. As much as I love a bargain I wonder how I would react to a completely uninformed seller with extreme valuable Bucks. I would have to feel right about the sale and be absolutely sure I didn't tell a lie if asked directly about value. I know myself well enough that if I deceived them in any way I would feel so guilty that no Buck would be worth that..I do dream about finding a little hardware store with a old dusty 1 line 110 for $16.00..
