The Sunday Picture Show... (6-17-2018) . . . OLD Show Look at the DATE... Happy Father's Day...

Craig, I can't imagine what you must spend at the sale.

Skyler...wow!

Desoto,...what a bummer...

I bought a no dot 112 bin the other day. Really fine shape but I thought the blade was dirty. The tip was blue from over heating. From what, I don't know because it really hadn't been sharpened much. It's in really great shape otherwise and didn't set me back too far.

Showing and listing a Pre Production Remington knife and a standard Remington blem. Notice Buck date code on pre production and 2018 date on current production. FB on blade and CJ's signature. No serial number as all of the stag version were.

I grabbed this one up on a BIN because I saw the serrations. Once in hand was a bit disappointing that someone had tried to sharpen the blades. I think more knives are ruined by bad sharpening than by actual use. Of more interest than the serrated blade is the sheath with the flag logo. I did my best but could come up with no information on it. Flag identification programs were useless. A standard 317 box with no additional label on it to identify the flags purpose. The knife shows use but the sheath is pristine and has not been used.

The worst thing that happened to knives was the invention of the Dremel Tool...

Happy Fathers Day to all. I just got back from spending some time with my 87 year old Father and going to brunch.
I am very lucky to still have my Father in my life. He is still very active and sharp as a tack. Goes on hunting and fishing trips all over the US, Canada, and Alaska.
He is retired Coast Guard with over 20 years in and has had a wonderful successful life. A very hard act to follow. To me he is a great Man.
I know he will not be around for too many more years but his memory will be forever etched within me and my kids.

Here is a Joe Houser custom I picked up a few years ago. Thanks to all for posting your Buck Knives.

My guess is that it is some sort of guidon but probably not military, possibly some private organization or personal creation.

IMG_2584.JPG Happy Fathers Day to all of the Dads out there! Before my kids got out of bed this morning, I went to a small local knife club's quarterly gathering. There were only about 6-7 guys there with tables set up, but I'm sure glad that I stopped in. I picked up this 319 for what I think was a good price.
