Good Sunday morning everyone and happy Father's Day to the dads.
Thanks Armand for getting another SPS up.

I have a friend that sent me two Buck 110s that he wanted new covers on.
I was at Blade Show a couple weeks ago and picked up some Sambar stag, Ironwood, lots of black smooth buffalo horn, some Micarta and a couple pieces of black exterior ram's horn.
I had no idea there was a black ram's horn and didn't know how it would look.
I decided to use it on one of my friend's 110s and here it is. (this is real exterior ram's horn and is not jigged)

I was kind of surprised at how it turned out.
It actually looks better to me in person than in the pictures.

Hi All, Happy Father's day to all the fathers out there.

It's been a long 12 hour night shift, sixth one in a row two more to go. I'll be back to see Armand's GSOE after a few hours of rack time. Hope you all post many awesome photo's and enjoy your Sunday!

Happy Fathers Day to all! Thank you, ITE, for yet another SPS, a favorite way to start my Sunday. I think these will get it done for today, nice little Sunday combo. I hope everyone enjoys their day! :):):):D:D:D

I agree. I think the AG series is just beautiful. Your opening post would give me the perfect excuse to post mine. But I cant right now. I'm using my wife's computer this morning as mine crashed yesterday and I have to take it in tomorrow to have it looked at.

Thank you ITE, for another SPS and happy Father's Day to all. I like Cabela's Alaskan Guide series of Buck Knives, think they are a good value and have several. The logos have been removed from the 110 and 692. Preston

The other Buck Caping knife. The model 474. This is an Alaskan Guide Series knife done for Cabela's. It's a beautiful and unique knife and must have been an exclusive for Cabela's as this is the only example of this 474 pattern being used that I know of. A rosewood handle and a nice glossy black titanium nitride coated blade in S30V steel and as found on all knives in the Alaskan Guide Series. No model number or date code is imprinted on the blade. I found this knife listed in the 2008 special projects list with a build quantity of 1,000. I find it hard to believe that they built 1,000 of these as this is the only one I have ever seen. It's a tiny knife, just like its 475 Mini Mentor sibling. Too small for my big hands. What differs it from the Mini Mentor is the Choil/Tang area which is formed for a chocked up hold. A related knife is the 477 Caping Knife with a guthook. The last picture shows a 475 Mini Mentor, a 474 Caping knife, and a 477 Caping knife.

Okay...you all made me go and pull the Alaskan Guide 110s from my 110 50th Anniversary collection.

The four above are all standard. I may add new covers to two of them in the future, but no plans right now.

I added new covers to the four above.
Bottom is jigged buffalo horn.
Second from bottom is smooth cow bone.
Second from top is black smooth buffalo horn.
Top is smooth cow bone.

I also added new covers to these three Alaskan Guides.
Bottom is mammoth ivory.
Middle is exterior Himalayan ram's horn.
Top is fat Sambar stag.

Great show everybody and Happy Fathers Day to all you Dads out there. Hope you all have a great day.

Stumps - Here is a 110 you don't have in your collection, Not my knife and no that is not me in the picture.

It is designed off a Buck 110 enlarged 800% and actually folds and locks.

Now I know, Ged, this big 110 is your shaver. And because it is not really handy for shaving you have this impressing beard

How does he get it opened without a nail nick?
