Yes, happy father's day, from me too. And thanks again for starting the greatest show on earth. I forgot to take the photo Frontiersmen part 4 but I found another never published picture, a Swiss Buck named Trekker

Good morning everyone, and Happy Father's Day! Thanks Armand for giving us another SPS!

My contribution(s) today are this BCCI Fund Raising offering from the December 2008 newsletter. It is a 532 with Bone and Desert Ironwood scales, NS frame and a 154CM blade. I like the combination and the circular tang stamp on it.

Man! You guys take some good pictures! Maybe I should give up on the iPad and get a real camera.

Well, It's Sunday knife show time.

But, I am going to show you how the mindset of a knife "collector" who goes to the 'Blade Show' works. For lots of years I was a 300 Snob and collector. I had to have every model and version and fix up a collection to display and win the admiration of all other Buck nuts. But, over time I gave up on the idea of 'all' 300's (too many versions), then I slipped out of my 300 Snob attitude and started getting a few 'other' Buck models. But, just a few. Well, a couple of weeks ago I was at the BS and saw a table of knives and this one caught my eye as a possible great EDC knife. The seller had a really fair price on it and I had to grab it up. He told me it was a 'prototype' but I didn't think clearly, all I thought was "Wow, a prototype". Later Leroy Remer and Joe Houser both seconded that notion. Ah, but Joe being the really nice guy he is, said he would take it back to the factory and see if they could put a pocket clip on it like the catalog model had. Alas, it apparently is missing the necessary second threaded hole needed for a clip, but it will still EDC and not many folks carry a Buck prototype in their pocket. I can't even remember the model number of this discontinued knife, the blade only says BUCK, U.S.A.. I need to take the time to look it up.......that my friends is my story. Here is the knife....300Bucks.

Yes, I think that one hex bolt is drilled a little off and the model sold had a metal finger opener, that one is plastic....but its a proto., I will keep saying that over and over, ha....But being Buck Knives (the good guys) they included a 25% off card when they mailed it back.

Some very nice and interesting Bucks this Sunday. First off I'd like to wish you all a happy Father's Day! Secondly I'll offer these new Buck Apex models as my SPS contribution. I find them to be a very nice value and quite a handy\useful little blade.

Happy fathers dad everyone and happy fathers dad to my other dad Armand! I have been addicted to customizing knives lately and it's my new passion! I had a old 503 prince laying around so I put some abalone scales on her! Thanks everyone and a special thanks to my girl Kim! She motivates me and supports my art!

Thanks babe. You have a true talent and following a dream and a passion (to everyone) entitles true happiness.

Great show today everyone and happy Fathers Day to all you Fathers out there.

Cvovillia - Nice rehandle on that Buck 503. Looks great. Sounds like you have a great girl who supports you and your creativity. :):):)

Here is a Buck 110 I picked up at the Oregon Knife Show this past April. The bolster shape really adds to the look. It has micarta handle scales, brass bolsters and a mirror polished 2 dot blade.

I showed it to Leroy Remer while at the show and he said it is one he did years ago.

This plastic stand came in a box of miscellaneous stuff I purchased from Larry Oden. I puzzled over it for a long time.
