Bad,

There was five Buck Knives in the Master Series... They were the, Special (119MS), Vanguard (192MS), Folding Hunter (110MS), BuckLuck (532MS), Squire (501MS)... The Set Came with green water-proof dymondwood handles, satin-finished BG-42 steel blades, Nickel-Silver Bolsters and Guards and a Master Series Medallion that they put in the inlays... Made back in 1998... JB can tell you more... or someone else will... ITE

That is the whole story Armand! There were a few over run MS blades put on knives with the green green wood and no checkering, they are harder to find than the master Series issue knives that is what my 192 is, I also have a 110 like that, just could not find the photo's.

Hi mqqn,

You should be very happy with that find. It's the third 112 micarta, with three line blade and very hard to find!

The first 112 1972 made, micarta handle, two line with brass spring holder
The second 112 1972 made, micarta handle, two line with stainless steel spring holder
The third 112 1972 made, micarta handle, three line with stainless steel spring holder (nice find brother)
The next 112 1972 made, wood handle
You see many changes in the new 112 in 1972, first year issue knives!

Thank you, ITE. I really enjoy the SPS - I make sure I check it out each weekend. I just don't have many Bucks, as I only have some 112's and a 110 right now.

I will take some better pics of my others to post on Sunday....

Thanks for the info, JB! I appreciate it! I just love the old 112s, as that is what I had in high school.

Here is a picture of the other older 112 I have, which I believe to be Shedua wood - it is also a three line example. The one on the top is a two-dot.

I agree with JB. DM

Thanks David!

I'll SAY ! You have some good models. The two you posted are highly sought after both to carry and collect. The reason being those models were not offered long, hence hard to find. Plus, a model holding some history and handsome. Some guys love to carry that wood only and the 440C blade helps. They're were several different variations of your 2 dot as well. DM

Please tell me about that top knife. That is straight up sexy!

Sorry for the tardy reply.

That top knife is a BUCK Custom Shop "Mountain Bowie" model 909. Off the top of my head ( and I can be corrected by others) I think it was made about 1989. I posted it a while back and I still think that it is one of the most beautiful knives that BUCK has ever made. They also offered it in an engraved Harley Davidson anniversary knife. There is a smaller version of the same knife , a model 919. Here is a link to my original post:

hay JB i have a 110 MS blade in a handle with checkering on the left side and plain wood on the right side
i got it at the 25 in post falls with no coa
i thought Joe told me that it was a test knife to see which Chuck liked better the checkered or smooth
so i did want to ask if yours has smooth on both sides or checked and smooth like mine...
later

Hi Brother Dave,

Nice to see you here with us again!

The one I have is smooth on both side's. I would love to see a photo of your smooth/checkered MS knife....it sounds very nice and ultra rare.

well i am sure Joe said it was a proto type that they had not decided on which green wood to use
but that it did not have the MS medal ... some how wandered on it
and i did not know they had extra blades left
and i do know they did some smooth green wood later on other issues
so ...
i guess that is why it is important to have or get a coa or letter of some kind!!!
