For something that doesn't move, knives are sure hard to take a good picture of. Since we started the show this week with a 500 series knife, I thought I would make my contribution with a 503. This knife is called "Purple Sunset" has inlays of a bonded stone called Chryscolla (Chrysocolla). In overly simplistic terms I think it is a quartz-copper sulfite mineral.
I found it in the 2002 catalog and it is listed as a limited edition knife. This knife blade is coded 2003 and it certainly didn't come in a limited edition box. The end of the box is labeled PURPLE SUNSET / B503-SS4-0 / CAT. 5223
