The Sunday Picture Show... (7-13-2014)

Here are a couple of 560's. I removed the rivets from one and ground 1/32" off the inside of each handle slab. This reduced the thickness of the knife form 7/16" to 3/8". The "thin" 560 was reassembled with 1/8" diameter screw sets using a Zirconium Nitride Buckcote blade. The Champagne color of the blade matches the handle.
The "sort of fat" handle sports an S-30-V TDLC coated blade borrowed from a Cabela knife. I say sort of fat because the original 560's and 186's were 1/2" thick. Both knives have pocket clips, the screws of which are anchored in #2X56TPI threaded holes tapped into the Titanium.
The knives weigh 120gm and 147gm. with the thumb studs and pocket clips.View attachment 456765View attachment 456766View attachment 456767

Wow Mark!!

You have been super extra busy rehandling and making some sweet knives!!!

How about a thread on that Mayo? I would love to see the technique you used.
And the 300's too :)

Yeah…it's been fun. Kind of nice customizing my user knives.

I drilled into the Sambar stag in an outward direction so little fingers of epoxy filled in between. I made sure I filled those areas full of epoxy along with the rest of the Sambar stag before clamping into place.

Awesome info! I have a couple fixed blades I want to rehandle, and that is just the trick I was looking for :)

Advertising 422 Bucklite, thank you kindly master of ceremonies ITE for this terrific folder, Three Finger Jack (Central Oregon Cascade mts) in distance + granddaughter Genevieve hand modeling wearing a cool shirt.

Thanks again everyone for your great Buck knife pictures and a big thank you to Armand for getting the SPS up and running every Sunday like clockwork.

Here I have a Buck 428 double blade Selector I picked up this week from a lessor known auction site for a great deal. It came brand new in the original box with the paperwork shown.

And for a wildlife picture I have a pheasant that was just out my back door this morning and I snapped a picture of him just as he was running away. Yesterday I got within about 10 feet of a rooster but had no camera with me. Boy are their colors beautiful.

Great show again guys.
armand I dont like that 442, I love it. Thats a new one on me and you know thats my favorite Bucklite variation.

Especially the 442

Here are a couple proper photos of that Kalinga I shaved with :)
2014 model, used my BCCI perks to obtain it before the prosite was temporarily shut down :)
I had to stretch the budget a bit, in order to use the discounts I wanted to, just in case things changed too much when the new site goes active.
I have wanted one of these ever since I was a young lad drooling over one at the Big5 in El Cajon way back in the 70's.

And boy o boy is it the pointiest blade ever!!
It would be perfect for removing a splinter!

I love the sheath, they lined the inside with some sort of plastic, very wise of them since it is so pointy!
And the snap is just freaking cool.

Here is another Buck 429OD 2 blade Selector I picked up awhile back and according to Armand (ITE) it is a rare one due to the fact that it does not say "SELECTOR" on the handle but it says "BUCKLITE". I have not personally seen another but I am sure they exist. If anyone else has any information on selector handles with Bucklite on them please let me know.

I also added a picture of a young buck caught behind my place on my trailcam.

Was at a gunshow yesterday. Lot of NRA things there, so thought I would stick in these. No, didn't buy them.
Already in the eclectic accumulation.

Join up if you haven't already...

In the bottom pic, there are only 100 of that 119. CJ brought them to the Houston NRA convention. I got two and wish I had of gotten more. CJ signed them for me.

Mr. Chuck signed the Kalinga, but I got it through some past NRA fundraising thing. Came in a nice wooden display box.

Good idea Armand...another pic. Got it from a friend for being his "Best Man".

Good afternoon all. Some really nice Bucks here today.

I've seen a lot of new Thugs on here recently so I broke down and got one myself. I think out of all the Buck/Hood knives I like this one the best:
