John, could we see some photos of the cabinets that you are filling with those great Buck knives? Preston

You asked for it Preston,

Don called it a mushroom closet, some call it a den, or a Man Cave. When our 5 kids got down to 2 I got my own space ;). At first my wife was mad as she said I was never in there. Then she was mad because I spent to much time in there. Now I just spend to much money in there .

So here are some of the old case's and a few here have seen them before.

New ones to fill, note I like the 3D style of the 3 & 5 knife stands. However, these new cases have mirror's and enough room to add another short shelf. Not all of my Bowie style knives work in these stands as the guards are too big  (still planning the lay out).

This one was cheap (wrong color dark)

Is that a coyote quiver that I see part of?? The Muley and Bearskin are cool also....Is that a Blacktail rack...

Awesome knives and displays!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

COOOOOLLLLL Mushroom Cave!!!!!!

Beautiful knives today and great looking caves for men to contemplate the important things in life, KNIVES!

I picked this up at a show today, It looked cool to me --> "SUNBELT" --> "Truck Mart" ==> Had to have it. :) My research shows the business has a location in Nashville TN and Decatur AL. Both, far from me. So, today I celebrate all my Buck nuts friends in the South! This knife was made in 1990, so it's dressed in real wood and it sports 425M steel. I have a new friend.

Very impressive JB - I see you keep oxygen handy for anyone who you show your collection to. I know I would need it for sure.

That's one impressive muley as well.

Yes James, I'm almost done with the O2 just need it at night as my blood O2 drops at night still (must be dreaming about Buck knives and big deer). That was my first ever deer, he's been hanging on our walls for a long time.

That is a coyote skin covered rifle scabbard, the coyote face on top of the rotating 110 display is a brimmed hat. I have photo's of my youngest son laying on that bearskin rug when he was about 1.5 years old, he's 27 now and don't think he would be happy for me to share his bare baby butt on the net...lol. The small rack is my daughters first Buck, its a young muley.

Thanks, John, what a great room, made to spend a lot of time in! I remember seeing the ones in the first two pics. Can't remember seeing the ones on the wall. As been said, all very impressive. Would love to see photos as the new ones are filled. Preston

You can always show his wife and kids....

A coyote rifle scabbard, that would be cool... I'm going to make one out of Buckskin and try and get enough rabbit to line the inside. My wife got me the Henry .45-70 wildlife rifle, so I wanted to make a scabbard for it....You get a chance, post a pic of it with a 110 if you can find one....Ha!Ha!Ha!

A few new acquisitions this weekend. Nothing special but they are BUCK. First up, Philmont Scout Ranch 50th. Special Projects list says they are serialized, this one only has the letter 'E' engraved on the pyle side. Nifty two tone scale on the front.

Next up, a sweet 309 Stag from 1988. This one walked up to my table looking for an appraisal. I told him it was worth in the $50 to $75 range. He said gee, would you give me $40 for it? He walked away happy with a crisp fifty.

Found this Selector on a table I had already walked past several times. Funny how everytime I walked around the show I see something I missed before. Interesting label on the box. The only selector blade I don't have in my collection is the skinner. Always seem to run a bit pricy on the bay.

Someone traded this knife to me for an old display box I wanted to get rid of. Didn't want the knife so much as I figured it was easier to carry the knife home than the box. The funny looking sheath came with the Philmont 110.

Thanks. In speaking with Armand on the phone he suggested it was an employee knife also. SP list says there were 500, I consider that a lot, is it the Scout thing bringing in a different collector group? I overlooked that knife walking around the show because of the sheath it was in (see post #33). I noticed it accidentally walking past on my way to the water fountain later in the day. Good luck for me... :)

Hi to one and All, It's that time of the week again. It's Sunday and that means that Brother Armand and his band of Buck Nuts will be doing that thing they do. You know sharing photos of Buck knives and it is called the Greatest Show on Earth, "The Sunday Picture Show". Thank you Armand for doing this each week, also thank you to all who venture here to post or see whats up and enjoy the passion of sharp shining things that cut as well as look great (at least to me).

John, I really like those 103's... The other Buck knives are sweet too...

Thanks for sharing...

:)

Got some new to me display cabinets and slowly filling them in. Here is a few shots (shot through the glass).

Yes, the Boy Scouts were founded in 1910 and is the largest youth organization in the United States. So i's say its safe to say yes these are sought after by a bigger group than us Buck knife collectors. Buck also came out with a new like of scout themed knives this year.
