DM, nice set of classics... and very nice of Pdave to help you complate your set... ITE ...

Lot of sweet pics today...:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

This is a Buck 526, one of the sterling silver models, only 4 models made for one year. It was a gift to Leesa from Plumber. She really likes it. Thank you, DM

I did not know much about these models until he explained it to me. Their engraving was done differently than the Buck Classics. Some very interesting models that you don't see offered much. Thanks E. DM

David, are the sides of these knives actually engraved or are they cast with an engraved appearance?

The Classics were "coined" as in the pattern being pressed or staamped into the aluminum handles. The sterling knives were done by "automatic hand engraving" what ever that means. The difference is obvious when they are seen side by side, especially in person.

My pleasure, just glad that I could help out.

I'm happy that she's pleased with it.

Thanks for the Great Show Everyone... Where else can you find a show like this, with Beautiful Buck Knives, Cool Pictures and Great Friends... ITE...

'automatic hand engraver'. This is a hand held pneumatic engraver. This is exactly what my wife uses when she does the same work. The Fleur de Lis come out much sharper than using the press method. DM

I did what BG42EDGE did and took a gamble on this 121. Bid from work on break with an hour to go and didn't get outbid, no more bids. It is in very good shape and actually cleaned up very well. Previous owner looks to have been a "lay it flat on the stone" sharpener.

I think Sithus1966 may be a Detroit Red Wings fan.
