The Sunday Picture Show... (7-17-2016) ... (OLD SHOW LOOK At DATE)

I do love WY. Every year I say I'm going to try something new, and every year I find myself back in the Northern Winds

Mike, why would you want to go anywhere else?

Bert

If you are asking, did Buck factory make an automatic 110 then the answer, AFAIK is no.

Joe Houser and an American dealer and I were working on this before Blade Atlanta. Joe said NO, no 110 auto was ever built by the Buck factory and CJ agreed. The dealer said yes and he had one that had been embellished by Butch Vallotton. It was a button operator and looked nothing like your Leverlock. Joe and the dealer and the knife were supposed to all meet in Atlanta for a show down. I had a life event. I haven't heard from Joe or the dealer. I would have bot the knife if it had proved to be a factory auto the dealer said it was.

Your knife looks like cool. I like leverlocks. Do you find it safe to carry in your pocket?

thanks for your answer but I know that buck never made this knife it has been converted by a craftsman called Arizona switchblade which look to be out of business now . the question is how many 110'S they had modified ? the knife is not really safe to use and don't open really properly ... but I think it's safe in the pocket . here the paper which came with the knife .

Thank You again ITE for starting the greatest show. A lot of great pictures of knives and wonderful pictures of a great country side. For my donation to the show is an old picture of a 486 and a 346.

There have been great pictures of great knives on here. Since Armand started with a 531 let's post one more.

When I had bought this one it was one of two that I was able to buy at the time, and is the only one that I still have.
If I ever get enough time at home I will have to take pictures of my Sawby lock version that I had picked up at a knife show in California while I was out there.
Keep the great pictures coming there is still plenty of time left. HL

I've been keeping an eye out for a 414 Cublite for my nephew and finally found one that was in great condition at a decent price. There's not a mark on it! I think it will serve him quite well! Now I need to find another for his brother and start looking for a pair of Scoutlites since they'll both need them in the future too.

Dang Mike...those are some excellent pictures!:thumbup::thumbup:
I was thinking yesterday that it will be a year ago tomorrow (figure that one out) that Bert treated me to breakfast out Wyoming way at a place I believe was called Johnny Jays.
That 110 fits right in out there!

I've only seen a couple of the Buck/Sawby 531s with mastodon ivory....here's some older pictures of mine;

Thanks Mark
now I know what to do with the 531 and 535

Mike, I was looking for Bear Spray or maybe you had Hogleg on the non-photo side.

Oregon, No Buck representatives or Joe were at Blade Show. Several people came up asking were they were but no one with a 110 like that visited the area while I was awake.......I was more entertained watching two Russia sellers drinking Vodka openly right after lunch time....on the constipated sign, that was one of my jobs working in CO during college summers. I would drive out and change out those road signs when they became unreadable. That one likely would go till next year...mine always had the word GOVT shot completely out..... 300

So the question is still open some what. The knife was vintage. The dealer swore to the story that he attributed to Butch who I greatly admire and respect and know as someone very capable of converting to auto. I haven't talked to Butch. CJ ran the shop at the time the knife(s) were supposedly made. An esoteric question now for me as I am no longer in the market but still curious. Thank you for the news from Blade.

Who doesn't like the glove mint? Let me at them! Holes in signs... How else dot the i?

Haven't posted for a while so I figured I would post a recent purchased BUCKLITE Philmont knife which I do not recall having ever seen one like this. Just for Armand:) He probably has six already:)

Thanks Tim, for sharing on SPS... I don't have one like yours... Is there anything stamped on the other side of the blade... I wish I would have seen it on the bay, if that's where you got it from... If you ever want to get rid of it you've got my number... If you have time to put those pictures on my thread "All about Bucklites and selectors" I sure would appreciate it...

:)

I am wondering what someone would post to a SPS from July. Try looking for a current date and post again.

Just trying to help.

Clay, I see you have 5 posts, you may be a long time reader but I have to do my job as moderator. Please read the rules on asking about selling or other sales talk in a open forum. Try the FAQ page and check out the link that will show up at the end of my post. You may use the Private Mail or Email options on your private page or you can ask the poster to contact you saying only "about some details of this knife." You cannot ask someone if they want to sell a knife on the Buck forum. There is a selling forum in another area of Blade Forums. You may offer a knife for sale at a fixed price in the Buck knife sale area also. I can appreciate your desire for a Philmont knife, I wish I had gotten one when I went there many moons ago.

Please check out the rules lest you run into trouble. I am removing your question.

Clay, I might but there maybe others here that have one they would sell. I have never seen one like this and would be curious if some of the other buck guys has one. If so, I will let them offer to sell you theirs first. Thanks Tim Also my email is tim_donnaparrott@bellsouth.net. You need to turn on messaging in blade forums to be contacted via their message system.
