Hi All,

Very nice start to the SPS, Armand that gold etch is interesting the handle for that issue should be wood (very cool find). Herbert, it looks like your 186 is sitting in some ash's, is it? Here is my knife for the show, it's my new EDC and I have carried it everyday for the last 3 weeks (thanks Jeff). Dang, I should have picked on up when it first came out! It is truly a one hand knife for opening and closing!

The 186 Ti is one of the best 110 spin-off knives Buck ever made IMHO. Thanks for the very nice photo's you always post for our enjoyment!

Thanks, JB, I always do my very best ;)

But you wrote it. The 186 rised like Phoenix from the ashes.

Haebbie

JB, would you please tell me what a spin-off knife is?

This is my favorite place to visit each Sunday, I really enjoy the photos!

Herbert, it is common in the English language to create a new word by putting two words together that will now have a different meaning than the two words would have if used separately. You can call these slang words and if the English language is not what you normally speak slang words can make your head spin;).

Anyway to answer your question:

Spin-off: something that is imitative or derivative of an earlier work, product, or establishment; especially : a television show starring a character popular in a secondary role of an earlier show, or in this case....110 + TI removable scales = 186, 110 + non removable Ti scales = 560, 110 + plastic scales = 426. The 186, 560 & the 426 are spin-offs of the 110.

I'm late to the show today. Went on an early, longish bicycle ride trying to try and get in shape for my next adventure. :)

Thank you ITE for getting the SPS up and runnin'.

Some really nice knives already. I'm going to follow ITE with a four dot 110 stag that I picked up from a member here last week. Mine doesn't have the etching, but I think it's a beauty anyway............

I picked up that Triple K western holster at a yard sale early last year for $30.00 and just had to get the Ruger Single Six to fill it out.

Below is a rare Timber Rattler I ran across on my last back packing trip. I've seen lots of rattlesnakes on my long walks, but this is the first Timber Rattler I have ever seen.

Nice photo's Stumps,

The stag on your new 4 dot 110 is fantastic! The Ruger .22 and the Rattler = a nice shake & bake dinner....taste's like chicken.

Here's my new to me Buck 105. Talk about a great knife for in the $40's! And it's a 2 liner. Threw in a couple pics of fishing in Colorado. Just got back yesterday. Caught some browns, bows and eastern brook. Look at the colors on that little brookie.

Thanks, I started living here in Colorado full time when I retired out of the Army at Fort Carson, I want to check out all the great outdoor spots as long as the Good Lord will let me.

Wow! ! ! We have some Sweet and Beautiful Buck Knives today so far, come on everyone lets see some more Bucks... ITE ...

The SawBuck model 154 was new for 1987 and carried in the catalog thru 1999. It has a Kraton handle and a blade a little over 10" long with coarse teeth on one edge and fine on the other. If ever a blade needed a sheath liner this is it. The teeth are aggressive and offset. It is impossible to slide these saws in and out of the snug fitting sheaths without shreading leather. Going by catalog pictures, the full flap over sheath only appears in 1987. In 1988 and 1989 the saw comes with a black nylon sheath. I have never seen the nylon sheath but can understand it not being around long knowing how hard this saw is on the leather sheath. In 1990 the catalog shows us back with a leather sheath, this time with an open top and a keeper strap. The open top sheath is shown in the catalog until the end in 1999.
