Herbert, it is common in the English language to create a new word by putting two words together that will now have a different meaning than the two words would have if used separately. You can call these slang words and if the English language is not what you normally speak slang words can make your head spin.

Anyway to answer your question:

Spin-off: something that is imitative or derivative of an earlier work, product, or establishment; especially : a television show starring a character popular in a secondary role of an earlier show, or in this case....110 + TI removable scales = 186, 110 + non removable Ti scales = 560, 110 + plastic scales = 426. The 186, 560 & the 426 are spin-offs of the 110.
