The Sunday Picture Show... (7-24-2011)

Great show as always fellas, Haebbie, great pics.

I picked up this older 112 recently off of a friend. It was his hunting knife and to him wasnt anything special or more than that. At 1st look I thought it was a 2nd ver 3rd var, and I teased him that I should have it and I'd trade him any of a number of knives for it. I didnt figger he'd ever give it up and was just ribbing him. Then he plopped it on the bar one night and gave it to me. I am giving him a 2008 112 and a 301 in place of it.

Oh btw its a 2 dot. 3rd ver, 3rd var. I couldnt see the dots until I took these pics and then I also realized the rivots didnt match a 2nd ver.

Not sure if I like your Dagger Heath, the new handle is the HD colors....but....it should have stag shoes. Did you take the stag off or find a handless blade? You do some fine work, very clean.

I understand, my work it is not for everyone. I build knives the way I think they sould look. I removed the existing handle. I usually do not find a knife without a handle but it sure would save some work if I could.

I'm just ribbing you Heath....I love it and would by one in a heartbeat Brother! I find it funny that on the unaltered LE, the has stag handles on most of them have been sanded at the factory to the size that fits the handle and most of the bark is gone and looks like plane bone. I like the HD color on yours;). Send me the link to your site when you have time.

Hi All,

The weekend has not gone so well for me as I dropped a filter housing cleat on the top of my bare foot in the pump house yesterday morning. The cleat is 4"x5"x2" and weighs about 3lbs one of the edges landed just right and cut a 2" gash to the bone on the top of my foot. Lucky for my the wife is a nurse and glued/stitched it closed for me. She told me as she left for work today to stay off the foot for the day so I don't bust it back open. HeHeHe I just have to snap a few new phopts for the SPS...it hurts like heck, now don't any of you rat me out for not following the bosses directions...LOL.

Ok, back to the task at hand. This will be the third set of display 500's for the SPS these are my history Duke 500's.

Folks,
Wasn't able to contribute today, a BCCI Newsletter deadline is looming, but wanted to say how good the photos are looking all around. Keep up the quality efforts.

Please think about helping out Rusty with a youth newsletter story. You just have to write like you are telling one about your experiences and ideas. Or even maybe your knives.......

You can be jealous, going to AG Russell Knife show in Rodgers, AR on Friday.........maybe next one we can setup a Buck display.....
