The Sunday Picture Show... (7-26-2020) . . . (OLD Show Look at the DATE...)

There was a knife show this weekend, I reluctantly broke quarantine, stuck a bottle of hand sanitizer in my pocket, put on a mask and went. Disappointing how many others did not mask. Here is the "best buy" of the day. The clip strikes me as a bit more pronounced than usual, I'll have to find one of my others to compare.

There was a knife show about 75 miles from me this weekend. I had it on the calendar, but given the rise in covid I decided to I didn't want to be in any large (?) crowds, so I skipped it.
Good find

Yes, they are paper stone. Initially I was really put off by the idea of a “paper” handle, but now I wish I had more than the two I have (110 and 301) - great handles. OH

I didn't know they ever made paperstone slipjoints. Learned something new :)

The handles are permanently joined by the rocker pivot rivet which is hidden by the handle inserts when the knife is assembled.
The T/A 110 has brass T-nuts inserted in the handle slabs to anchor the insert screws. The #2X56TPI screws which anchor the inserts on the T/A 112 are screwed directly into the Aluminum. Since Aluminum has a tendency to gall and the thread engagement is about 4 1/2 threads. I would not be inclined to disassemble this knife frequently.
The insert retention screws appear to be glued well enough to require some heat for disassembly. Since I didn't have any spare inserts, I refrained from loosening the screws.
The blade pivot T-nut has an octagon head which sits in an octagon recess to immobilize it. There is no blade pivot bushing, so the pivot tightness is adjustable.
The spring holder is secured with 2 T-nuts which have D cross sections. The D shaped holes in the spring holder immobilize these T-nuts.
The D holes in the T/A 110 appear to have been broached. The D holes in the T/A 112 appear to been lasered or water jetted. There is also a difference in shape between the spring holders.View attachment 1385257

Happy SPS everyone!

Here's another shot of the 303 Paperstone. I have the matching 309 in the display box / tin somewhere also.

This is the most recent pic of my 303 collection.

And another special factory 303 that isn't in the group photo.
