Tele, Did you mean to say your 2 line 106 micarta handled axe was mfg. in 1973?
Some real handsome knives guys. I've not seen a Buck with yellow spacers. DM

Really great picture show, quite a few I'd like to have. I have an old Group 2 knife that's one of my favorites. It's likely that Hoyt Buck ground the blade and Al Buck finished the handle between 1945 to 1947. This one has the handle made with Lucite scraps, with 4 colors. You guys all enjoy the 4th of July!

One of these days I am going to find a lucite handled buck in a yard sell or flea market! Great pics! I also love that yellow spacered 19 . I'd love to know more about it. Nice show this week! Thanks

This has been a great Sunday picture show this week.
In response to the statement about collecting, I might be a lone ranger, but more than one knife might be called a collection. Just enjoy any and all you are able to own. It's the friendship that counts. IMHO.
Happy 4th of July to everyone.
Harold

Great pictures Nothing new to show this week but I should be getting a 104 in the mail sometime next week. Been trying to get one for several years ...

Tele, I do recall that as its true for the Empress Trio model 200 sets. The maroon micarta was tried on many models all in 1973. Thanks. Buck must have gotten a good buy on that stuff. DM

Here are all the rest of the burgundy micarta BUCKs. I think that actually they had relatively little of the burgundy and it was used for a very short time only experimentally.

Tele, Thats the Windsor set model # 206. I'm sure you have the walnut case. Notice guys these steak knives are serrated backwards form todays type serration patterns. On the front not rear portion of the blade. Thanks for the photo. DM

Apparently age is getting to me. I always indicate when a picture is not mine but forgot to do so with respect to the burgundy set. That is not my picture nor do I have all of the knives in that picture.

My apologies to those I may have misled.
