Buck Ring...

I have no chance on the other side of the big pond to find anything like the award ring for Buck enployees. I don't think that there are ex Buckaroos livin' in good old Germany and giving away their Buck stuff. Sometimes there are overrun parts sold in Germany, like the 908 bowie I showed last week. But also I found the limited 106, the last run of the hunting axe here in G. Thank you, Armand for another Greatest Show On Earth.

Haebbie, nice picture of you axes... I like that cut out deer one... I have one like it...
Did you get the sheath with it...

Thanks for sharing on the SPS... ITE ...:thumbup::thumbup:

Thank you ITE for another SPS, I'm working night shift so I'll get in early. This is a pair I have been working on for several months when time is slow at work, a 110 2 dot with elk covers and a 501 with Mule deer. Sorry about the quality of the photo but with limited funds I have to choose what to spend it on and Bucks always win the bucks. Need time on the polisher also.

Cool Buck ring ITE - I've never pursued Buck accouterments, but they sure make good props for photo's. Habbie, I guess I am going to have to begin looking for a Buck hand-axe to go with my collection - very nice selection you have there. I obtained this 1972 vintage 121 Fisherman last week - even with the thin blade the old style grind is quite obvious. OH

I am taking the two mini alpha combo's that were Web specials and giving them to my brother and brother in law during our camping trip.

For this SPS I'll submit my new Rosewood Vantage 346. Very nice addition to the Vantage line.

Took my new 301 out for the day and snapped a few pics.

Arrived home to find this JAG 110 in the mailbox.

I know Spyderco is usually credited with making the first folder with a pocket clip in the US but the first ones were made in 1981 or there abouts but they were made in Japan, like with many things in the cutlery industry most new ideas are just variations on a previous idea.

IIRC the Buck Titanium 186 was the first US made folding pocket knife with a pocket(belt) clip? Actually I believe the 186 had a lot of firsts in 1986 when it was released.

It was the first US production titanium folder and the first modern folder made to be disassembled by the owner. It also had bushings on the pivot and the rocker for the lock back.

This was a fantastic knife for the time but it was made in a very limited run and for only one or two years and then the very thing that Buck advertised, (the ability to take it apart and clean it) caused the demise of the 186 and made Buck change it forever to the 560, a riveted clipless version.

Apparently too many people took it apart and couldn't reassemble it causing an increase in customers sending them back to Buck for service.

Actually I just wanted a reason to show it off again. :) ;)

Here's a few pics of mine and the box I keep it in.

Good morning everyone and as always, thank you so much Armand for the show . . . and that is one cool ring! B.H., Larry emailed me that my 346 is on the way as well. After seeing yours I can't wait!

I'm really proud of my contribution to the show this week. It is a 3/1 110 that belonged to Vern Taylor. I just thought that it was pretty cool purchasing a 110 that belonged to someone so iconic in the world of Bucks.

For the Greatest Show on Earth, I snapped a picture of my three Lightnings. Don't see these much here.

Badhammer
Nice looking knife.
Glad to see these are starting to hit the street.
This is what buck needs more of.
Nice looking affordable knives.

Thank you Armand for another SPS!!!
Nice ring. :)

Michael….those are both Buck knives to be proud of….very nice!!:thumbup::thumbup:

Herbert, glad you're back from vacation and took you normal spot in the front of the line for the GSOE. :)

Looks like this week's SPS is off to a good start.:thumbup::thumbup:

I believe this is it for me for the week. I was happy to get the mirror and bought the grommets because I didn't know Buck ever sold them before.
The BuckLite Harley Davidson knife is my first HD knife.

Saw this bugger while I was backpacking through Maine;

Cool ring Armand and to think it is my size. ;) Here is some that I may have posted before but I really like them.

WOW great show already!!!! Thanks Pops for getting her going! Hope your doing better. I was super excited this week as Buck Knives Facebook page shared one of my SPS Photos from awhile back! The CSAR-T with the snake head! I felt famous!!!!!! But now it has created even more Buck fever and picture Fever!!! After seeing all those 124's last week I had to get one! So here is some pictures of that bad mofo! Also some odd and end pictures I wanted to share! Have a great day everyone!!!!!

Great pictures everyone and glad to see you hear and getting the SPS up and running Armand and glad to hear you are on your way to recovery. Love that ring. That was a real score.

2TONYB - That is a great 560 style 110 in copper. Jerad does some great work.

mwputnam - Great 110 from Vern's collection. I was not fortunate enough to ever meet him but have heard alot of great things about him. Those older stag 110's have a look about them that is hard to beat. Great knives.

Stumps - I really like that Buck Knives mirror. It amazes me of the variety of items out there that are Buck related other than their knives. Finding them sometimes is not that easy though.

Here is a picture of a Buck Knives money clip I found awhile back. It is embossed leather that folds in the center and is held together by a magnet.

For my Buck knife I am showing one that I posted a couple days ago on Stumps stag and ivory thread. These are by Wild Bill Cody. 2 110's and a 501. Featuring stag handle scales with eagle feather cutouts, Nickel silver bolsters with green Malachite spacers. Mirror polished blades with filework on spine as well as fileworked backsprings and rear spacers. They all 3 come with a distressed brown leather belt sheath. These were made as a limited edition of 250 each and are NIB.

Not sure why I have 2 of the 110's. I guess that is my obsessive compulsive buying Bucks disorder kicking my butt again.

Good show guys! I have yet to put my hands on a Marksman, but they sure look sweet. Those feather cut outs are super cool and hard to do! Craig, I saw that picture on Bucks FB page, pretty cool ;)
Thought I'd share a couple recent projects sitting on a dead head my girlfriend found a few months back when we were out looking for elk sheds to make handles from :)
