The
"Mates in Black"

Better late then never ... I had a lot to do at the weekend that I forgot to
post my SPS knife.

Thanks for looking.

Best, Haebbie

Haebbie, it's never to late to post on the SPS... What a great picture and a sweet set of knives... Thanks for sharing them with all of us... ITE ...:thumbup::thumbup:

Very cool Armand. Are you going to have Leroy put handles on the fixed blades?

Thanks Dave, i'm not sure if i'll just keep them or have Leroy or Wilde Bill do something with them... I collect just the gold etch Blades too and a few others... I would love to have a stag or a white handle on that big H/D Blade... ITE...

Here's photo of one of the 'Buck' made (USA) LE Canoes. As I understand it, they are overuns/seconds from a A.G.Russell contract, ivory scale, S30v on one end and 154CM on the other....
BUT
buyer beware ,'the' bid site folks don' tell you this, the ones offered by Buck after the contract were all cracked at the scale rivets......they (Buck) said so and the original buyers knew it BEFORE purchase. .......300Bucks

POST SCRIPT ADDED after legitimate and honest comment below. Some ivory is very prone to crack, especially in 'thin' slabs. Assembly of these Canoes was prone to have some 'developmental' issues, but because even a cracked USA soil made Buck Canoe is a rare item, I and others were happy to buy the few seconds that were left after shipping un-cracked others to A.G.Russell. Buck was honest about it. We didn't pay what you would if you go to AG Russell catalog to buy one, let me tell you. So it is sad they cracked, but I would rather see Buck offer this great looking knife to folks as to scrap them to parts. They offered other developmental efforts in the past and I hope they keep up the policy.

This is probably one of the nicest looking knives Ive seen in recent memory. Man, that looks good. What kind of discount did you get it at?
