Good morning everyone!!!!! Thanks pops for getting the greatest show in earth up and running. I couldn't wait until daylight so I just took some pictures of a Buck 605 I had laying around, you don't see that many of these. I also got a new vantage in the mail the other day! Can't wait to see all your Buck knives!!!!!!

Another Vantage to add to the collection!!!

Hi All,

Thanks Armand for the SPS, one of the best parts of Sunday's:thumbup:. I'll follow your lead with a new BG-42 301.

Here is the one I got, plain Jane no etch. Sweet knife! However, who ever did mine did not glue the scales on correctly so when it was sanded down at the edge of the bolsters they sanded all the way through the micarta and into the black glue:thumbdn:. Picky? Not in my honest opinon, these were made and sold to collectors club members, this one should have been a blem knife.

John,I would send it back to John and have him send you a different one..
if he still has any left... If that doesn't work send it back to buck care of Joe..
now I have to look at mine real good... I think it looks good, but that one little Nick...
Thanks for sharing on the Sunday Picture Show... ☆☆☆

Thanks Armand for getting another SPS started for all of us!!:thumbup::thumbup:

Dang John…I would definitely be sending that one back. I might have re-handled it like this one if I had it before I took the white micarta covers off;

My intentions are to use this one, but a 311 or a 501 that I re-handled keep finding their way into my pocket each day. :)

I have always loved using a Buck/Hoodlum for trail maintenance along the Appalachian Trail, but I never cared for the stock sheath.

I solved that problem a couple weeks ago when I ordered this custom Kydex sheath. I figured I would like it, but I didn't realize just how much I would like it!

My only adjustment will be to move the belt loop higher so the knife rides lower.

The knife locks securely into the sheath. All I have to do to removed the knife is to push that little thumb press and it releases perfectly. I put the knife back in the sheath and it snaps nicely into the recessed pin near the tang part of the handle.

My latest acquisition…and one of my goofiest buys. :)

I wouldn't have thought twice about this one, but it is a knife I collect…the 5th/5th four pin Buck 110.

The blade floats free like a Buck Marksman and locks up great. It's kind of a gravity knife, locks open nicely, but doesn't stay in the closed position on it's own. I am not sure if the finger guards were for another purpose or not. They are certainly sturdy enough, but also look very goofy. The blade had been removed and re-pinned as you can see. I'm thinking this is how they got the blade to free float until locked in place. (by grinding enough off the blade to take the opening pressure off, but still leaving the spring and locking notch in place.

I would love to know what intended use the guy did all this work for. I bought it figuring I would re-build it and have another four pin knife, but I have decided to keep it the way it is for now. :)

I would say with that amount of work it was intended to be used for self defence as a stabbed, hence the finger guards and quick deploy blade...maybe a military guy who wanted a really quick folder..

Sent John same info on the 301 i.e., send it back to Pres. John......email him immediately first......he does knife stuff on Sunday afternoon. 300

One more for today, then I have to get busy with other stuff….

This one came earlier in the week from Canada. Thanks for the heads up Roger!! :)

I don't normally go in for the laser cut-outs, but I like moose.

Yes….it's got the blocky handle that some don't like, but seems to fit my hand nicely.

For today's greatest show I have something new to me. I got a 845 off the bay to add to my small collection of Vantages. Now have a 845, 340 and 345.

My Vantage collection, 340, 345 with paperstone scales and 345 with the nylon handles

Glad to see other people buying that moose cut out 124 - I almost bought it when it 179.99 - almost bought another when it dropped to 99.99- but honestly I need to stop buying knives let alone duplicates :)
This week I have a few new knives to show

Next up would be a Charcoal 302 ( gotta say I love Charcoal Dymondwood I wish it was offer more) This knife here has changed my opinion of the 300 series. I love how slim it is. I could see me carrying this on occasions I had to dress up.
